As the market changes, flat wires of various widths need to be produced according to market demand. Generally, the draw ratio of wire drawing machine is relatively stable, and changes in the width of the flat wire will inevitably require the width of the blank wire to be adjusted accordingly. The width of the filament is determined, and the thickness of the filament segmentation block is also determined. However, due to the influence of many factors such as equipment and raw materials, the corresponding relationship between the width of the gray yarn and the width of the flat yarn is different. , and cannot be calculated using any theory. How to calculate the width of the blank wire based on the width of the flat wire is a difficult problem that must be solved.
2. Solution to blank width
The corresponding relationship between the blank width and the flat plate width is generally expressed by an empirical formula. In 1982, Mr. Xu Jiannan [1] proposed an empirical formula for the relationship between flat wire width and draw ratio:
w=(w0+0.6)(0.535-0.0225Sr)
where: W——flat wire width (mm)
W0— — Width of steel strand (mm)
Sr — Stretch ratio
Because this formula is basically close to the actual situation, it is still widely used today. You can also repeatedly sample in actual production to measure the corresponding values of W, w0, and Sr, so as to make appropriate corrections to the constants in the formula. It should be noted that the width of the blank should be the sum of the thickness of the dividing block and the blade. The thickness of the filament block is determined by calculating the width of the blank filament, so that flat filaments of various widths required by the market can be produced by replacing filament blocks of different thicknesses.
