The results of the seventh census have a striking data that the population of 160 and above is 264.02 million, accounting for 18.70%, which means that the aging trend of our Chinese population is deepening, which means that in the future, the young and middle-aged labor force will become scarce. In fact, western developed countries have entered the stage of population aging a long time ago. In order to alleviate the impact of the shortage of young and middle-aged labor force, their governments have implemented delayed retirement plans. Therefore, men in western developed countries generally retire at the age of 65. Therefore, our country is "connected" with developed countries in the West on this matter. Delaying retirement has become an established fact. The post-80s and post-90s groups must not escape the fate of retirement at the age of 65. But we ignore the following points, some factors that we currently do not have compared to developed countries.
1. After all, western developed countries have a relatively deep background and family background, and also have a relatively complete welfare security system, so their nationals work more easily and comfortably, very leisurely but with relatively rich income, even if their nationals work until the age of 65 or even later. Don't worry that your body can't hold up, because the amount of labor you pay is very small compared to us. The relatively complete welfare security system is even more powerful support. If their citizens feel that they are old and unable to work, they will also receive strong support from the welfare security system, so their worries are eliminated. But the above are what we do not have at present. We are a developing country, which means that there is still a big gap between us and Western countries in these aspects.
2, what is our current status? Various super-long overtime phenomena have resulted in the 996 system and various overtime cultures. At the same time, employers arbitrarily lay off older employees over 35 years old, and employers discriminate against older employees in recruiting. If this general environment does not change, how about 35 to 65 years old? What about the grassroots workers in the past 30 years? How to get basic living guarantee? Compared with western developed countries, our social security system needs to be strengthened.
3. There is a widespread phenomenon, that is, many employers, whether they are state-owned enterprises, central enterprises, public institutions or private enterprises, use labor dispatch and labor outsourcing in many grassroots positions. The number of groups is large, and these people have many basic benefits. There is no guarantee, and they are facing the risk of being laid off at any time, which means that they sacrifice their future interests in exchange for the current job opportunities, but the problem is that if they are old and unable to work, but the retirement age after the delay is still long. Time, how will they face it? It must be extremely difficult to find a job. Since I did not pay social security when I was young, I will face various difficulties.
Therefore, delaying retirement will have many negative effects on grassroots workers. The most benefit is definitely the employees of the units in the system, especially the management. They do not need to spend too much labor, they only need to issue orders and send them to labor dispatch workers. Just do it, and you can enjoy all kinds of benefits in one day on the job. But for real grassroots workers, if the employment environment and social workplace environment have not been fundamentally changed, delaying retirement will be tantamount to worsening problems. Therefore, delayed retirement must be based on the completion of a relatively complete welfare and security system, strengthen relevant supervision, protect the legitimate rights and interests of grass-roots workers, and change the social workplace environment.
