Russia is developing a new type of "stealth helicopter", using dual rotor system + propeller propeller

Russia is developing a new type of

Moscow is working hard to ensure that its military forces are at the forefront. Can a new helicopter help them do this? The picture of

is from Kamov Helicopter's new helicopter jet hybrid. Kamov previously designed the powerful KA-50 and 52 series, both of which are rugged and durable helicopters. The next fuselage may just be a prototype (if any), with several strange characteristics.

Like the KA-50 series, this new version will also have two prominent counter-rotating propellers. Compared with a traditional helicopter design with a single main rotor and a smaller tail rotor, this design has several advantages. If there is no tail rotor, the main rotor can provide more power, which may increase power and maneuverability. Below the

rotor are two large engine air intakes, which are huge by helicopter standards. These are probably used for jet engines, which may indicate that the prototype was designed for high speed. One of the favorite features of

Russian design is the side-by-side cockpit layout. This new model is no exception. The new Kamov design may also share the KA-50 pilot ejection system, which can safely launch two pilots at almost any speed or altitude. The

prototype also has larger delta wings and canards, just like the old Saab design, with high mobility. Duckbills can provide more lift and also help improve mobility. Although there are some problems between the prominent duck tongue and the concealed design (perhaps an irreconcilable difference).

In addition to the peaked cap, Kamov’s design seems to have a stealth bomber-style bomb bay for placing ammunition inside. If the ammunition is stored internally instead of externally, the prototype will have a "quieter" radar signal and therefore more stealth.

Although various design features are clearly aimed at reducing the helicopter’s radar signal, there is still one (two in this case) big obstacles for any helicopter trying to be more stealthy: the helicopter blades are indeed invisible. They provide a large target for radar bounce, and there is actually no easy way.

Kamov did a good job on the KA-50 and KA-52 helicopters. Both models are sturdy and durable, and can be widely protected from small arms and even larger caliber guns. The six blades are made of composite materials and are designed to withstand multiple impacts from small arms fire. The new

prototype has features such as Sikorsky Invaders, including stealth features, and of course a dual-rotor system, although the Raider has a propeller propeller, while the Kamov prototype has a jet engine and two designs Both have significantly improved the speed.
