On December 22, local time, the U.S. Congress approved the National Defense Authorization Act for the 2023s, which clearly stipulates that the U.S. government will provide Taiwan with a military loan of US$10 billion within five years to purchase U.S.-made weapons and equipment; approve Taiwan's participation in the U.S.-led Rim of the Pacific joint military exercise, which only sovereign states have always been eligible to participate; and strengthen military exchanges between the United States and Taiwan.
There is no doubt that these U.S. policies have seriously violated my country’s territorial sovereignty and integrity and are gross interference in my country’s internal affairs. Combined with the fact that in August this year, the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, ignored my country's repeated objections and insisted on visiting Taiwan Province of China, it is not difficult for us to come to the conclusion that the United States is trying to detonate the Taiwan issue and thereby incite a "Chinese Civil War."
In the past period of time, the United States' policy on the Taiwan issue was to "maintain the status quo." This is because China and the United States still had huge common interests at that time. Once China and the United States parted ways or even went to war because of the Taiwan issue, the United States itself would have to pay a heavy price.
Although there are still extensive common interests between China and the United States today, the decision-makers in the United States have fallen into extremes and madness, and will do whatever it takes to oppose China. Moreover, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has also benefited the United States: American arms dealers have naturally made a lot of money, and energy companies have also made a fortune by dumping high-priced oil and natural gas into Europe. At the same time, the United States also passed the "Inflation Reduction Act" to attract a large number of European companies to invest in the United States, easing the economic crisis in the United States. However, Russia performed poorly in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The big country lost a lot of face, its economy was also affected to a certain extent, and its overall national strength was frustrated.
Since the tactics of detonating regional powder keg and instigating proxy wars are so effective, the United States wants to follow suit and use such tactics on China. At present, the United States has approved the provision of military loans to Taiwan. The leader of the Republican House of Representatives McCarthy has even threatened that he will continue to visit Taiwan once he is elected speaker.
It is not difficult to see that on the one hand, the United States has given Taiwan Province a large amount of military supplies, and on the other hand, it has given political hints to Taiwan and incited it to split from China. In addition, the United States has also decided that in the future, US officials should go to Taiwan's executive agencies and legislative bodies for "exchanges". This is actually sending a "Taiwan Emperor" to Taiwan to directly control the actions of the Taiwan authorities. By then, even if the Taiwan authorities don't want to take the final step, it will be out of their hands. The United States believes that once the Taiwan authorities take the final step and a war breaks out across the Taiwan Strait, the United States will be able to sanction China in the same way it sanctions Russia and plunder the economic development achievements of China and even East Asia.
However, China and Russia are completely different. The Taiwan issue and the Russia-Ukraine issue are also completely different in nature. The United States wants to use the strategy of attacking Russia to attack China, but in the end it will steal the chicken but lose the rice.
Russia's economic aggregate is less than one-tenth of China's, but the economic sanctions imposed on Russia have caused European energy prices to skyrocket, unemployment to skyrocket, and demonstrations and protests and even riots to occur one after another. When Western companies left the Russian market, they were still hesitant and looked back three times. Even after announcing their withdrawal from the Russian market, they continued to stay in the Russian market by changing their names or using shell companies. China is the world's second largest economy, the world's largest industrial country, and has the world's largest market. If the West sanctions China in the same way it sanctions Russia, it will be tantamount to economic suicide/Last year, inflation in the United States was high. An important reason was that Trump imposed high tariffs on some Chinese goods. If the West launches a comprehensive economic blockade against China, its own national economy will collapse.
At the same time, the Russia-Ukraine conflict is a dispute between two sovereign countries, while the Taiwan issue is entirely China's internal affairs. Most countries in the world recognize that Taiwan is a province of China; the United Nations passed resolutions as early as the 1970s, clearly stating that Taiwan is part of China.When China wants to resolve the Taiwan issue and what means it wants to use to resolve the Taiwan issue are entirely China's internal affairs and foreign countries have no right to interfere. This makes it impossible for the United States to accuse China from the moral high ground of "defending the integrity of territorial sovereignty" as it accuses Russia. The vast majority of countries in the international community will also side with China.
What's more, multiple Sino-Russian joint military exercises have proven that the People's Liberation Army is far stronger than the Russian army, and it is impossible for the Russian army to have a situation like the Russian army's lack of high-precision guided weapons that forces soldiers to attack with their lives. Moreover, Ukraine is the second largest country in Europe and has a long border with NATO member states. Its strategic depth is greater than that of Taiwan Province, and it is far less difficult to obtain Western aid than Taiwan.
To sum up, the United States hopes to detonate the Taiwan issue and make China a "world pariah". Its strategy of "continuous bloodletting" for China is simply impossible to succeed. As long as we follow the established plan and continue to develop our economy, science and technology and military, everything will fall into place. However, once the US-Taiwan collusion crosses the bottom line, we should also respond decisively.
