The Russian-Ukrainian conflict began. The performance of the Russian army in this conflict was somewhat surprising. In this region, Bahmut became the site of the most intense fighting between the Russian and Ukrainian armies, and was even called a "meat grinder" by the United States. Here, the Russian army continuously dispatched thermobaric bombs , incendiary bombs and other highly lethal weapons, and also sent out charge teams to attack day and night many times, but they still failed to capture Bachmut in one fell swoop.
Recently, the Ukrainian army released a photo of the Bakhmut battle. On a battlefield of about 100 square meters, 13 Russian soldiers fell to the ground. There is no doubt that this is another failure of the Russian army's "shock tactics". There has always been a shortage of infantry in the Russian army. In Bakhmut, the Russian army not only ignored this problem, but also used traditional tactics to let the infantry attack directly. This will undoubtedly become a living target for the Ukrainian army. Moreover, the Ukrainian army has mortars aided by Israel, high-precision missiles aided by the United States, and German MG-3 chain-loaded machine guns. These weapons can effectively attack the Russian infantry, and there will be no casualties in the Ukrainian army.
During the Bachmut struggle, the tactics adopted by the Ukrainian army were very clear, which was to attract the Russian army through forward positions, and then hide in underground bunkers when the Russian army bombed. After the Russian bombing ended, the Ukrainian army came out to concentrate firepower to kill the Russian attacking troops, and even used high-precision weapons to kill the Russian army and Wagner mercenaries hiding in the trenches. Therefore, the "artillery coverage tactics" and "infantry shock tactics" adopted by the Russian army in Bakhmut are outdated. This is why it is difficult for the Russian army to win the battle in Bakhmut.
Through the Russian army launching rounds of infantry attacks, it can be seen that the Russian army lacks the ability to remotely attack bunkers in Bahmut. Modern bunkers have a distinctive feature: strong sealing. Moreover, this bunker is one meter thick and can ricochet like the tank gun . Moreover, when not firing, the gun holes have been specially processed, making it difficult for the Russian army to detect them. The thermobaric bombs seen by the outside world before can only be said to be flashy, because the surface launch of thermobaric bombs looks very spectacular, but they are suitable for hitting exposed targets in the wild, and there is still no way to deal with highly concealed things like bunkers.
Therefore, the Russian army’s insufficient ability to build bunkers has made it difficult to achieve breakthroughs in Donbas in the past few months. To sum up, the Russian army still has its own shortcomings. After many retreats and the defeat of Bakhmut, the Russian army should really reflect on why the battlefield cannot be conquered for so long. The Russian army already has a shortage of infantry, so giving away people in this way will only make the Ukrainian army happy. The mobilized 300,000 troops cannot yet be fully committed to the battlefield. If the Russian army does not change its strategy in time, it will be difficult to win the battle in Bahmut.
