After the liberation of Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia region, the 65th Army was also the Ningxia Military Region, and most of the 19th Corps remained in Shaanxi and the Shaanxi Military Region.
In November 1950, the 19th Corps rushed to Shandong and was ready to enter North Korea to participate in the war. In February 1951, the 19th Corps was officially reorganized into the 19th Corps of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army, crossing the Yalu River from Dandong and other places.
