This cutting-edge material with high strength and strong toughness is F-12 aramid fiber. It is one of the three largest high-performance fiber materials in the world. Previously, internationally, it has been a secret as a space material and strategic material.
In the 1990s, the high-performance aramid fiber used in my country's aerospace field could only rely on imports. In order to break the foreign technology blockade and product monopoly, the Sixth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology of China has been working hard for more than ten years to develop and finally adopted the path of domestic production of F-12 fibers, filling the gap in domestic high-performance fiber materials. After more than 30 years of development, domestic high-performance aramid fibers have supported the leapfrog development of the country's important equipment in cutting-edge fields such as rocket engine and aircraft functional structural parts.

Now, F-12 aramid fiber has realized multi-channel parallel assembly line automation production. How are F-12 aramid fibers made? The answer is that this bottle has a yellow liquid that looks particularly like honey - spinning solution.
First, the spinning solution is pressed through the equipment to a single F-12 aramid fiber with a diameter of only 14 microns, and then it is wound into bundles through the Unicom device.
According to Zou Jihua, an institute of the Sixth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology, in 2021, in the face of insufficient F-12 fiber production capacity and technical bottlenecks, the Sixth Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology vigorously promoted industrialization construction. Breakthroughs have been made in key technologies such as dry spray wet spinning and continuous heat treatment of F-12 aramid fibers; spinning speed and fiber strength have been greatly improved, and a new level has been taken in production capacity and technological innovation.
