On April 12, 1961, the first human astronaut, Yuri Alexeyevich Gagarin, took the Oriental 1 spacecraft, and successfully entered space from the Baikonur launch site. He returned safely in the orbit of 300 kilometers. Gagarin became the first person to see the earth in space, and human space history has also taken a crucial step forward.
This is the first time in human aerospace history, so what about the first time in my country’s history? Just passed October 15th, this memorable day. On the same day 19 years ago, my country's aerospace hero Yang Liwei successfully climbed to the sky on Shenzhou 5 , creating the history of my country's aerospace industry. Since then, China's aerospace has entered a new chapter.
I wanted to be a train driver since I was a child, but later became a pilot
Yang Liwei was born in a small town on the beach in Liaoning Province. He is very young and introverted and not very lively. His parents saw it and thought it was not a solution, so they took him to hike and swim. Gradually, Xiao Yang Liwei's physical fitness became better and better, and his personality became more and more proactive and extroverted.
When he was a child, Yang Liwei was influenced by the anti-Japanese war drama and planted the seeds of patriotism in his heart. He longed to become a train driver like in Railway Guerrillas . As he grew older, he began to yearn for the blue sky and longed to swim in the sky.
When I was in my senior year of high school, an opportunity came quietly. The Air Force came to their school to recruit people and apply for pilots. Yang Liwei did not hesitate at all and was the first to sign up. After a series of procedures such as selection, investigation, and physical examination, he became an Air Force cadet as he wished.
The first generation of astronauts, the aerospace road poured with sweat,
, became a pilot, is just the beginning. What really changed Yang Liwei and made his life change drastically is becoming an astronaut. In the summer of 1996, after Yang Liwei learned that he had the opportunity to participate in the astronaut selection, he began special training. The selection and testing procedures are very strict, and rich flight experience (flight records over 1,000 hours) are just basic, with strict requirements on age, weight, height, etc.
Yang Liwei successfully stood out from 1,500 pilots through training and rich experience, and together with 13 other outstanding pilots, he became the first generation of astronauts in my country.
Becoming the first generation of astronauts is a thing to be proud of, but before Yang Liwei could be happy, he quickly devoted himself to the intense and difficult training. Being an astronaut is not an easy task, not to mention that this is the first time that my country has trained astronauts. It has no experience yet. Many problems need to be explored and dealt with by themselves.
At the body level, to adapt to the space environment and work normally, you must get used to weightlessness and overweight. Therefore, Yang Liwei has to experience the rapid rotation of centrifuge from time to time. Reactions such as dizziness, vomiting and other physical discomforts are constantly coming. Every time, Yang Liwei can only persevere with his strong willpower and perseverance.
Psychological level, Yang Liwei must remain calm under the above difficult environment, be able to deal with various problems and implement operations. This is undoubtedly extremely difficult, and it took Yang Liwei a long time to do it.
How much sweat is there in it? No one knows. They have built a glorious road - manned space flight.
A day of history
On October 15, 2003, Yang Liwei woke up at 2 a.m. for examination, and then he had breakfast with Nie Haisheng and Zhai Zhigang . Before leaving, Nie Haisheng and Zhai Zhigang raised their glasses to Yang Liwei and said: Congratulations to you. We all know what happened later. The rocket was successfully launched and Yang Liwei successfully became the number one person in my country's aerospace industry.
There is an unknown detail that before heading to launch site , Yang Liwei wrote five big words "First Flight Astronaut" on the door of the China Astronaut's apartment, leaving his name and date. Looking back now, I feel very moved. In five simple words, I have so many dreams of Chinese people, and how many sun, moon and sweat are hidden.
