China Beidou satellite navigation system project chief designer Yang Changfeng said in an exclusive interview with Xinhua News Agency reporters during the meeting that in more than two years since the launch of Beidou-3 global satellite navigation system, its stability and high precision have been fully verified. The application prospects of Beidou system are very broad, "the application of Beidou is only limited by imagination."
Yang Changfeng said that through more than two years of practical application tests, the Beidou-3 system can achieve global positioning accuracy of 4 to 5 meters, and the accuracy in the Asia-Pacific region is better. At present, the Beidou system has been widely used in many fields such as land surveying and mapping, digital construction, and precision agriculture, and its application in unmanned driving and smart city construction is steadily advancing.
Yang Changfeng pointed out that after the Beidou 3 system was launched, the Beidou system's special functions short message communication service capacity has been greatly improved on the basis of Beidou 2, realizing two-way information transmission, and has been applied on mobile phones. short message service can be provided in areas where mobile communication signals cannot cover, which makes the Beidou system have great potential in emergency search and rescue fields.
Beidou-3 system is the first in the world to break through the Ka frequency band inter-star link technology, connecting all Beidou satellites into a large network. Yang Changfeng introduced that the Beidou system's inter-star link technology is like establishing a "group chat" between satellite , ensuring that the Beidou system can achieve global high-precision positioning and navigation without establishing ground stations around the world.
Speaking of the future development of Beidou system application, Yang Changfeng said that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Beidou large-scale application must be market-oriented, industrialized and internationalized. In terms of internationalization, Beidou will combine the "Belt and Road" initiative to "go out to sea with ships and build bridges every road" to provide more products and services to overseas markets. At present, Beidou has been used in more than 120 countries and regions around the world. With its low cost and high precision, it has become a high-tech and cost-effective public product provided by China to the world.
Yang Changfeng emphasized that the original intention of establishing the Beidou global satellite navigation system is to "serve the world and benefit mankind." As the Beidou system is recognized and accepted by more and more countries in the world, Beidou is making greater contributions to promoting international cooperation in the aerospace field.

Global and regional satellite navigation system suppliers from China, the United States, Russia, EU , Japan, India and other places, ICG member states such as Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Nigeria , and ICG associate members and observers such as International Geodetic Association , as well as special observers such as Pakistan , and International Maritime Radio Technical Committee and other invited observers had in-depth exchanges and consultations on popular topics in the world's satellite navigation fields such as system compatibility and interoperability, space service domain, and high-precision applications. Yang Changfeng led a Chinese delegation to attend the conference and proposed Chinese solutions on a number of important issues.
