Yang Changfeng said that through more than two years of practical application tests, the Beidou-3 system can achieve global positioning accuracy of 4 to 5 meters, and the accuracy in the Asia-Pacific region is better. Yang Changfeng pointed out that after the Beidou 3 system was launched, the Beidou system's special functions short message communication service capacity has been greatly improved on the basis of Beidou 2, realizing two-way information transmission, and has been applied on mobile phones. short message service can be provided in areas where mobile communication signals cannot cover, which makes the Beidou system have great potential in emergency search and rescue fields.

Beidou-3 system is the first in the world to break through the Ka frequency band inter-star link technology, connecting all Beidou satellites into a large network. Yang Changfeng introduced that the Beidou system's inter-star link technology is like establishing a "group chat" between satellite , ensuring that the Beidou system can achieve global high-precision positioning and navigation without establishing ground stations around the world.

Speaking of the future development of Beidou system application, Yang Changfeng said that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Beidou large-scale application must be market-oriented, industrialized and internationalized.
