So when can Chinese passengers board their C919 passenger plane ? According to the previously announced news, the C919's entry into the civil aviation passenger aircraft market can be divided into two stages. One is that the aircraft registered in China flew abroad, and the other is that the aircraft developed in China is sold abroad.
For flights abroad, since China is also a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization and has established an airworthiness certificate issued by China to comply with the relevant regulations of the International Civil Aviation Administration, the airworthiness certificate issued by China also has a certain effect. In other words, China has issued an airworthiness certificate to the C919, which means that the passenger plane can fly to the whole world. As for sales abroad, according to previous unwritten international regulations, exported aircraft need to meet the airworthiness needs of the importing country. In other words, it needs to be recognized by both parties before it can be sold abroad.
The good news is that C919 is expected to deliver C919 passenger planes to domestic civil aviation companies this year, and also signed bilateral airworthiness agreements with 32 countries and regions including Europe and the United States. According to this situation, it may not take long before we can board China's own domestically produced large passenger plane.
Of course, with the unveiling of C919, Airbus and Boeing will definitely feel a huge crisis. After all, the competitors of C919 are Boeing's best-selling Boeing 737 series and Airbus A320 series.
