It is understood that the Hispasat 30W-6 satellite is mainly used to replace the old Hispasat 1D and provide Ku band network services in the Andes region and Brazil. The satellite is built on the SSL 1300 satellite platform and has a power of 11.5 kW. It can be used to expand transatlantic network capacity in Europe-US and US-Europe connections. Hispasat 30W-6 has an estimated service life of 15 years and was launched in 2018. The extension means Brazil plans to make full use of the satellite's lifespan.
