Li Weisheng, a retired soldier who currently lives in Xiaomei Community, Jinhua Street, Liwan District, is an enthusiastic party member and volunteer in the community. Li Weisheng comes from a family of soldiers and party members. His father, second brother, his son and himself are all soldiers. Three generations and four members of their family actively joined the army in different eras and were stationed in different places in the motherland to protect the people. Li Weisheng, his father, and his second brother are all veteran party members with decades of party experience. They are honored by this status, and they always have strict requirements on themselves because of this status.
In Li Weisheng’s memory, his father was a low-key and down-to-earth man who didn’t talk much and was very principled in his work. “He came back from the army and worked in the supply and marketing cooperative in our village. His style was upright and trustworthy. When the villagers bought things, his accounts were calculated. Very clear and never sloppy." Influenced by his father and brother, Li Weisheng joined the army in 1989 and became an air force logistics soldier. After retiring from the army, he came to Guangzhou to work in the Mechanization Operation Center of Liwan Urban Management Bureau. He worked there for more than 20 years. He kept a low profile and worked hard, and he won many honors. The sanitation work vehicle he drove once won the honorary title of "Party Model Vehicle".
Under the influence of his father and grandfather, Li Weisheng’s son Li Kai also honorably joined the army and became an active soldier. With his outstanding performance in the army, he also won the honorable title of "Four Haves" Outstanding Soldier.
