Recently, Russia's Red Star TV broadcast a short video showing that a Ka-52 "Alligator" armed helicopter was hit by two shoulder-mounted ground-mounted missiles while performing a mission in Ukraine air missile attack. From the picture, you can see that the first missile came from the left side of the helicopter and was deceived by the automatic jamming system and lost its target. At the same time, the helicopter's infrared jamming bombs also began to fling outwards without any cost. At this moment, the second missile struck from behind again, but it also missed due to the infrared interference bomb. This prevented the helicopter from being shot down.
Due to the proliferation of shoulder-launched anti-aircraft missiles, the Russian military armed helicopter performing missions in Ukraine is now in an increasingly difficult situation. Without an automatic jamming system, it is completely impossible to effectively deal with the current situation by relying on pilots to manually eject interference bombs of.

L-370V52 system operates fully autonomously, informing pilots of threats and attack directions. The L-370V52 not only identifies threats but also reports on countermeasures taken and protective means available to the pilot.

However, even with the protection of the "Vitebsk" automatic defense system, the Ka-52 helicopters still suffered heavy losses in Ukraine, and many helicopters were shot down.
After all, any defense system has its limits and is not omnipotent. For example, in this incident, Ukrainian soldiers launched two anti-aircraft missiles, both of which were warned in advance and interfered by the "Vitebsk" automatic defense system. However, if multiple missiles attack at the same time, they may be overwhelmed!
At present, the West strongly supports Ukraine’s armaments. Various types of portable air defense systems have entered service in the Ukrainian army. It can be said that Russia is confronting the short-range air defense systems of the entire West. The combat environment is very harsh for helicopter pilots!
