Malaysian Immigration According to the Immigration Act regulations, any foreign citizen who is granted permanent resident status will receive an entry permit and a red identity card . The permanent resident status has no time limit and is valid for life. After being exempted from all visas, he will be required to enter and reside permanently in Malaysia. There are usually some misunderstandings about Malaysian immigration:

Let’s make it clear that the Malaysian red card is the real Malaysian permanent residence permit (also known as the green card). The second one refers to a visa that allows long-term stay. There are many differences between the two. The most intuitive difference is that the newborn of the red card holder directly obtains Malaysian citizenship, while the second family does not have such treatment.
Whether it is a 10-year visa or a second visa, they are essentially just long-term visas. Only the red card is what we usually call real immigration.

It is true that you can get a Malaysian red card by investing, but that is not the best choice for immigrating to Malaysia.
