On the evening of December 8, the 2022 Nanhai District volunteer service commendation ceremony and the closing ceremony of the 17th Nanhai District Volunteer Culture Festival were held, and Nanhai District Party Secretary Gu Yaohui made a special trip to attend. At the meeting, Nanhai showed the annual summary of the volunteer service of "Hundred Teams, Thousand Society, Ten Thousand People", released the "Volunteer Tour" Fund , and also commended a group of advanced volunteer service personnel.

Spark is a prairie
In Guangdong, Nanhai District, Foshan City is a representative pioneer of reform. At present, is deeply promoting a systematic reform around grassroots governance.
In June this year, Nanhai systematically deployed grassroots governance reform work with the rare "10,000 People's Congress" specifications, and officially launched the "100 Teams, Thousand Society, Ten Thousand People's Tour" volunteer service special action.
This special operation aims to mobilize hundreds of volunteer service teams, pair up with villages (communities) with economic cooperatives in the district and cover more than a thousand economic cooperatives, gather tens of thousands of volunteers, and use the "order-based" service mechanism of "village (community) placing orders and team taking orders" to drive all sectors of society and the broad masses of groups to participate in good governance at the grassroots level with volunteer services.
data shows that as of December 4, the special volunteer service action of "Hundred Teams, Thousand Society, Ten Thousand People" mobilized nearly 50,000 volunteers and carried out 2,947 volunteer service activities, benefiting more than 200,000 people. Throughout the year, 438,000 volunteers in Nanhai also provided services, carrying out a total of 370,000 volunteer activities and providing more than 13 million hours of volunteer services.
There is no doubt that volunteer service has become like a spark, gradually becoming a prairie fire in the South China Sea, becoming a bright background for promoting the modernization of grassroots governance.

Behind "Hundreds of teams, thousands of societies and tens of thousands of people" is a grassroots governance reform and a profound re-exploration of the party and the masses. This is something that Gu Yaohui, secretary of the Nanhai District Party Committee, has always been thinking about.
On different occasions, Gu Yaohui pointed out many times: to stimulate new vitality, the grassroots is the key; party building leads the grassroots to be good governance, and "government works and the masses see" is the key problem to be solved. This is profoundly related to the development goal of "modern and vibrant New South China Sea".
It is true that as one of the leaders of the "Top 100 Regions in the Country", the South China Sea has a developed economy.
