The traditional Korean car company Hyundai Motor has previously launched in-depth cooperation with another Korean company LG. It once established an joint venture in Indonesia , and the investment of both parties reached US$1.1 billion (approximately RMB 7.9 billion). Recently, new cooperation news has been reported from these two companies.

Recently, according to Zhichepai, local Korean media reported that Hyundai Motor Company and LG New Energy Company are considering establishing two joint venture battery factories in the United States.
According to relevant sources, the above mentioned factories are planned to be built in Georgia , with each factory's annual production capacity of about 35GWh, which is enough to power about 1 million electric vehicles . LG New Energy declined to comment on this news, and Hyundai has not responded yet.

Relevant professionals analyzed that the new factory may be located near Hyundai Motor Group's new electric vehicle factory in Georgia, which will help the company meet the US electric vehicle subsidy regulations.
In addition, someone familiar with the matter revealed to the media that Hyundai Motor Company and battery maker SKOn plan to invest about 2.5 trillion won (about 13.5 billion yuan) to establish a new joint venture battery factory in the United States.
