Stray animals have no fixed abode and often hide in the corners of many buildings to avoid wind and rain. Sometimes even though they feel safe, the location they choose is actually very dangerous.
For example, on this day, the animal rescue agency received an email saying that there was a cat family of four living next to a busy street. There are many fast-moving vehicles on this street, and it is easy for little cats to get into accidents if they run onto the road to play. For their safety, the letter writer hopes that the rescue agency can take them back for adoption.
After receiving the news, the volunteers prepared their tools and cat strips and set off. The rescue site is an old house next to the street, and the narrow space at the foundation is the temporary home of the cat family.
By chance, as soon as the volunteers arrived at their destination, they bumped into a little milk cat coming out for air. Seeing several strangers arriving all of a sudden, the little cat immediately meowed in fear and huddled in the corner.
Hearing the child's cry, a pair of big cat's paws suddenly stretched out from the crack in the wall. Cat father and cat mother came out one after another, looked at the crowd and the camera in front of them, and then turned and left after confirming that there was no danger.
Near where the cat family lives, there is a kind man feeding them. He started taking care of the cats before the kittens were born, and has been doing so for several months now.
After the volunteers learned about it, they set up a trap using food and cages at the place where the man usually feeds cats. The two big cats were very cautious and never ventured too far from each other. Everyone waited patiently for both cats to come within range, then quickly lowered the cage and covered it with a blackout cloth.
Later, the volunteers returned to the crack in the wall and tried to lure the kitten out with cat strips. However, the little kittens huddled in the depths and remained unmoved, hiding very secretly, which is why they were not discovered until the day before the rescue email was written.
Seeing that the food lures didnât work, the volunteers had no choice but to do something hard: after blocking other exits, they immediately caught the kittens and put them into the flight boxes.
After returning to the institution, everyone gave the cats a bubble bath. The little kitten was soaked in water for the first time since she was born. She was so scared that she didn't dare to move with her eyes wide open.
The next day, the cats were taken to the veterinarian for a physical examination. Fortunately, they were all healthy. The two little kittens also quickly found adopters and had their own homes.
No matter how old stray cats and dogs are, their IQs are only as high as those of children. In the wandering life of worrying about food and housing, it is inevitable that many wrong decisions will be made, and sometimes they will affect human life unintentionally.
On weekdays, we will more or less hear news about stray animals getting into car accidents. The scene of the tragedy is heartbreaking.
