60-year-old actor Ban Tiexiang performed the role of "Lao Gong" in the TV series "A Handful of Green". In 2016, when he was nearly 60 years old, he left the bachelor and registered his marriage with his Taiwanese businessman's girlfriend Celine on November 11. After marriage, he became very lucky. Not only did he participate in many TV movies, but he recently went to the mainland to take on a Fujian-south movie "Sweet Potatoes Water Rice". This film is also the first theater film in mainland China that is completely performed in the entire Fujian-south language.
Recently, the mainland announced a number of measures to benefit Taiwan, opening up the quota of actors in mainland China for filming. Many senior artists have benefited from it and became the first all-Minnan-language pronunciation film in mainland China, with a strong lineup. In addition to Ban Tiexiang, Golden Horse Film Queen is a starring role in the performance of Yalei and Yang Guimei. Young director Ye Qian is one of the top five directors in the "China Youth Film Director Support Plan and Green Plan" initiated by the Mainland Film Directors Association.
"Sweet Potato Water Rice" means "Sweet Potato Porridge". The film shows the unique scene of the coexistence and prosperity of many religious cultures in Quanzhou through the story of an empty-nest elderly man in rural southern Fujian. It is different from the iron-solid "Lao Gong" in "A Handful of Green". Ban Tiexiang plays the role of "A Shuishi" in "Sweet Potato Water Rice". This time, he not only challenges the entire Minnan language, but also shows his singing voice for the first time and sings in the Minnan language love song.
Ban Tiexiang has been to Quanzhou for filming. He said that he is concerned, attentive and serious about the crew. He also prepared a souvenir for the first time. His emotional intelligence has won the Golden Merchants Award. Chen Zhibin, a young Taiwanese entrepreneur from CENTURION, gave a suitcase to his staff as a gift. He looked forward to the excitement of the movie.
