Shanghai Huashan Road starts from Yuyuan Road ( Jing'an Temple ) in the north, and ends at Hengshan Road ( Xujiahui ) in the south, spanning the three districts of Jing'an, Xuhui and Changning, with a total of 4,320 meters. Zhenliu Apartment

There are many old houses on Huashan Road, most of which are "deep courtyards". The "Zinliu Apartment" located on Huashan Road in Shanghai is a high-rise old building that stands out from the crowd.This was originally a garden house built by a British-funded Taixing Bank in 1900. It was soon purchased by Li Hongzhang's family. Li Hongzhang's third son Li Jingmai invited Hashad, a famous American design company at that time, to design it, and renovated it into a 7-story apartment building on the original site.
Li Jingmai went on missions to Austria in his early years, serving as the inspector of Jiangsu, Henan and Zhejiang, and went to Europe and Japan for inspection. Compared with his two older brothers Li Jingfang and Li Jingshu, Li Jingmai has no achievements worth showing off in politics and academically. But he is good at doing business and collecting cultural relics, and is engaged in real estate business in western Shanghai. Zhengliu Apartment is one of his achievements in business.

Lilac Garden

Xiaobai Building ( Baipod former residence)

Not far from the Lilac Garden, under the shade of the sycamore trees, there is an exquisite and elegant Xiaobai Building. Although it does not have the aura of a large villa, it has the posture of a small foreign building. The entire building has height, front and back, square and round, virtual and real, and the combination is just right. There is also a small garden to the south, with flowers, plants and trees planted in the yard, full of vitality.
Xiaobailou's former hostess was the famous artist Bai Yang. Bai Yang is a famous Chinese film and drama performing artist. He became famous in 1936 with "The Cross" and starring in " A River of Spring Flowing Eastward " in 1947 and "Blessings" in 1957 made his artistic achievements reach the peak. In 1950, after Bai Yang married Jiang Junchao, he bought this villa on Huashan Road.
Legendly, this building was not originally white. After Bai Yang moved in, her husband Jiang Junchao asked someone to paint the exterior wall into the same white as Bai Yang's surname, which was called "Xiaobailou". In the 1950s, Premier Zhou Enlai visited Shanghai and also went to Xiaobailou to meet with Shanghai film workers. After the Poplar's deaths one after another, their descendants placed a white marble half-body statue of their two in the garden.

Fudan Middle School

The school was formerly the Fudan Public School founded in 1905 by the famous educator Ma Xiangbo . Yan Fu , Sun Yat-sen, Yu Youren , Shao Lizi and others served as school directors. In the century-long development process, a large number of cultural celebrities such as Chen Yinke, Luo Jialun, Hu Sheng, Jin Chong and other places have been cultivated for the country. In 1950, Mayor Chen Yi wrote the school name for Fudan Middle School.
Fudan Middle School started to propose the school motto of "learning and determined, asking questions and thinking closely", advocate the spirit of "service, sacrifice, unity", "academic independence, freedom of thought", and rigorously governing the school, and consistently. Denghuitang is located in the former Fudan Public School. Denghui Hall is a typical Chinese-style building with flying eaves and brackets. It was built in the 30th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1904) and was formerly the Li Hongzhang Ancestral Hall. Later, in order to commemorate the third principal of Fudan Public School, Lee Teng-hui (1873--1947), it was renamed "Denghui Hall", and the rebuilt "Denghui Hall" was the school history exhibition hall.
Some people say that the foundation of Huashan Road is based on "starlight", and the connotation is based on education. Which road is like her that almost left half of the Chinese entertainment industry? Another road was like her, giving birth to many pillars. The current posture of Huashan Road is attributed to the buildings that still stand tall on both sides of the street.
