As a descendant of a revolutionary military strategist, Chen Haosu was destined to experience a displaced childhood from the moment he was born. As the war broke out, Chen Haosu and his younger brothers followed their mother Zhang Qian and the rear troops to march together. The hardships of their long military career made the young Chen Haosu understand the difficulties of their parents earlier than ordinary children.

She completed the first draft of " Selected Poems " before the last moment of her life, and wrote a preface for her with deep affection.
