The Xikeng Group area of Huangcheng Village, Dongyang Town fully implemented closed management
An authoritative person from the Anyi County New Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic Prevention and Control Emergency Command told reporters that there was indeed an asymptomatic case in the Xikeng Group with a positive nucleic acid test. It has not been confirmed yet. This person was quarantined for 14 days. After being released from quarantine, he was quarantined at home for another 5 days.
A villager in Huangcheng Village said that the villager who tested positive for nucleic acid had eaten with a patient who had been diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia before the Spring Festival. Afterwards, the villager's family was isolated for 14 days. Before being released from quarantine, he had a comprehensive examination and had no physical problems. He was isolated at home for nearly one week, but the nucleic acid test was positive and has not been confirmed yet.
reporter noticed that since the outbreak of the epidemic, there have been special cases in the country where nucleic acid tests have been positive after being released from quarantine.
According to the "New Coronavirus Pneumonia Prevention and Control Plan (Fourth Edition)" officially released by the National Health Commission, the article on the tracking and management of close contacts mentioned that the medical observation period for close contacts is 14 days after the last contact with a case or asymptomatic infected person.
Sheng Guoping, deputy director of the Department of Infectious Diseases at Shulan (Hangzhou) Hospital, once said in the media that there are many possibilities for the nucleic acid test to be positive after the quarantine is released. Some patients have particularly long incubation periods, which may be longer than the 14 days in the current guideline, so it is still contagious after the quarantine period.
"Whether the nucleic acid test is positive or not, it is related to the sampling and the amount of virus replication. Different parts, different periods, different immune status, and different amounts of viruses determine the results of nucleic acid test. Furthermore, it is not ruled out that the possibility of being infected again after the isolation period is lifted. Some people may also conceal their contact history." Sheng Guoping said.
Zhou Xin, director of the Department of Respiratory Medicine of the First People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University, said in an interview with the media that it was found to be positive after being released from isolation. This situation is indeed rare, indicating that some patients have a longer incubation period of this disease, and there may be asymptomatic positives. However, the incubation period of most people is about 5 days on average, so it is correct to be isolated for two weeks. To be on the safe side, you must also observe at home for two weeks after being discharged from the hospital or being released from quarantine.
