Zhang Yazhong, principal of Taiwan’s Sun Yat-sen School, said through a video speech on the 8th that the easiest way to solve the current cross-strait dilemma is to negotiate and sign the cross-strait peace agreement, and through the process of cross-strait harmony, the two sides of the Taiwan Strait can achieve peaceful reunification on the basis of respect and equality.
Zhang Yazhong said that from Sino-US trade frictions to the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, a century-old change that subverts the world pattern is clearly revealed to us. Of course we understand that it is the last attempt of the United States, a powerful power that has embarked on the road to decline, to continue its hegemony. And its main target of containment is undoubtedly the rising strength of mainland China.
Zhang Yazhong pointed out that although history will not be simply repeated, Taiwan and Ukraine also have significant and essential differences, the logic of the United States' hegemony will be the same.
He said, I always believe that to solve the current cross-strait dilemma and even curb the attempt of US hegemony to control the world, the easiest and most important way to remove the burden is to negotiate and sign the cross-strait peace agreement, so that the two sides of the Taiwan Strait can develop peacefully, and then through the process of cross-strait harmony, the two sides can complete peaceful reunification on the basis of respect and equality. I think that before these century-long changes, the knowledgeable people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait should understand that this is the real and correct way to respond!
Zhang Yazhong and promised that he would do his best with like-minded friends to guide Taiwan’s public opinion, resolve the “anti-China” thinking, and not be the vanguard of “anti-China”. At the same time, we also call on the mainland to maintain strategic determination, work together by the joint efforts of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait to return to the whole family peacefully.
He said that the Chinese nation is peace-loving and has never wanted to dominate the world. We also hope that after the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, we can make the world a true community of life, rejuvenate China and make the world harmonious, which is our ultimate goal.
