Inevitably, peace, stability and cooperation across the Taiwan Strait will be impacted, and Taiwan's development prospects will inevitably be affected.
However, while expressing anger and protest, we must also think seriously and seriously: In addition to symbolic meaning, has Pelosi’s so-called “visit” to Taiwan substantially changed cross-strait relations?
The answer is of course no.

Pelosi's behavior does bring a problem to our government: if we take excessively tough countermeasures, it will inevitably further undermine the already highly sensitive Sino-US relations; if we fail to take sufficiently tough countermeasures, it may encourage more politicians in the United States to take similar actions to visit Taiwan.
No matter what the result is, in the eyes of some irresponsible American politicians, they are even a result that they are willing to see and accept. Therefore, Pelosi's visit to Taiwan has become a landmark event to a large extent to test what kind of Sino-US relations we hope to maintain.
