After three days of fierce competition, Liu Zelong, a Chinese player and a young teacher from Guangdong Technician College, won the gold medal in the event, achieving the gold medal in the event by Chinese players. So far, in the 23 events that the Chinese delegation has completed, Chinese players have won 13 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze and 4 winning awards .
Swiss has hosted a total of 14 competitions in the World Skills Competition Special Competition. The Chinese delegation participated in 6 competitions including furniture production, fine joinery, woodworking, printing media technology, graphic design technology, and electronic technology. Previously, at the closing ceremony of furniture production, fine joinery and woodworking held in Basel, Switzerland on October 15, Chinese contestant Li Dexin won the gold medal in furniture production, Shao Rupeng won the gold medal in fine joinery, and Wang Zongheng won the winning award in woodworking project. This is the first gold medal won by the Chinese delegation in this World Skills Competition, and it is also the first gold medal won by Chinese contestants in woodworking projects since participating in the World Skills Competition. At the closing ceremony of the two projects of printing media technology and graphic design technology held in Arau, Switzerland on October 16, Chinese contestant Gu Junjie won the gold medal in the printing media technology project, and Ouyang Wanqing won the winning award in the graphic design technology project. This is also the first time that a Chinese contestant won the gold medal in the printing media technology project. After the electronic technology event, the Chinese delegation's competition in Switzerland has all ended. In the 6 events that participated, Chinese players won 4 gold medals and 2 winning awards.
