Searching for forestry culture
In the early days, the development of Chiayi City was driven by Alishan forestry, and it was called the "Mudu". After the logging stopped in the 1960s, the forestry declined, but it left behind rich forestry heritage, accumulated forestry cultural assets of nearly a hundred years, and revitalized and renewed again, achieving the current "Alishan Forestry Village" and "Hinoki Village". There are many themes here, including forestry culture, environmental education, craft design, and cultural creativity. Huiyinhuo Village
The entire district covers an area of about 3.4 hectares, which is equivalent to the area of the current Chiayi Municipal Baseball Stadium plus the East District Stadium. Its scope is divided into two hinterlands, north and south, by Linsen East Road. To the north is the area where the "One Heart and Two Leaf Pavilion" is located. In the early days, it was a dormitory group for Japanese grassroots staff, while in the south, it was a senior official house.

After more than a year of baptism, Himecho restored it with traditional Japanese craftsmanship and as much as possible. Currently, 28 wooden historical buildings have been preserved. After four years of renovation, the glory of Hui Village was recreated. This is not only the earliest forestry village in Taiwan, but also the most complete and widest scope of Japanese-style official building complex. Therefore, in 2005, the Chiayi Municipal Government registered the above-mentioned buildings as ancient and historical buildings in the city.

Forest Song
"Forest Song" was created by artist Wang Wenzhi for about 6 months. It looks like an egg-shaped appearance. The tower is about 14 meters high and about 55 meters wide. It is located next to the multi-functional exhibition area of the "Alishan Forestry Village" between the railway and the Alishan Railway. From a distance, it looks like a small dome in nature.

"Song of the Forest" uses Chiayi local materials such as yellow vine, brass, stone, driftwood and abandoned Alishan Railway tracks, and uses the tall and majestic Alishan Shenmu and Alishan Forest Railway as the main image. A large number of trees are tied around and stacked layer by layer into tall towers. The corridor before entering the building is woven with yellow vines. It passes through the tower like entering a cave, symbolizing the prosperity of Chiayi forestry and the importance of railways, and has become a new landmark of Alishan Forestry Village.

Since the Song of the Forest is the only way for trains to enter Chiayi city, it has now become the best choice for photographers and players.
