Academician Fan Shoushan
Professor Fan Shoushan was born in Shanxi, China in 1947. He graduated from Tsinghua University in 1970. He received a master's degree in physics from Tsinghua University in 1981. He joined the Department of Physics of Tsinghua University in 1981. He is currently a professor in the department of this department and director of the Tsinghua-Foxconn Nanotechnology Research Center. Professor Fan has worked as a visiting scholar at MIT , Harvard University and Stanford University . His research focuses on the synthesis, performance characterization and application exploration of nanomaterials and nano-equipment. He has published more than 80 scientific and technological papers. He won the "Yangtze River Scholar Achievement Award" in 1999 and was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2003. At this year's Nasdaq Expo, Professor Fan will give a keynote speech on "The Road to Practical Carbon Nanotubes".
Lars Professor Montelius
Lars Professor Montelius is the Director-General of the Iberian International Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL, the first laboratory in Europe to focus on nanotechnology research under the international legal framework, one of the three major international scientific research institutions in Europe), a professor of nanotechnology at Lund University in Sweden. He is currently the chairman of the International Vacuum Science and Technology and Application Alliance. He is also a member of the decision-making level of the EU NMBP (nanotechnology, advanced materials, biotechnology and advanced manufacturing processing) expert group, as well as a member of the board of directors and working group of NANOFutures and EuMat, two major European technology platforms.
Lars Montelius has been engaged in the field of nanotechnology for 30 years. His work revolves around lithography and processing technologies applied to a variety of nano-devices, especially in nanoprint lithography. He and his team have published several influential papers. The current research focuses on the exploration of the application of nanotechnology in the field of life sciences. Professor Lars Montelius has published more than 170 papers, was invited to give more than 80 speeches, and has applied for 54 patents. At this year's Nasdaq Expo, Professor Lars Montelius will give a keynote speech on "Looking at Nanotechnology as a key driver of breakthrough innovation from a European perspective."
Academician Gu Min
Professor Gu Min is currently a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Sciences and the Australian College of Technical Sciences and Engineering, the first director of the Microphotonics Center of Swinburn University, Australia, Chief Tenured Distinguished Professor of Optoelectronics, Vice President of Swinburn University, and Vice Chairman of the International Optics Committee. Professor Gu is recognized as one of the international authorities and pioneers of three-dimensional optical imaging theory. He has always maintained an international leading level in the fields of three-dimensional optical imaging theory, light transmission in turbid media, multi-photon-induced physics and biological nanophotonics. He has independently written two monographs on optical imaging theory, and published more than 280 papers in the authoritative journals of Nature and Physics Review Letters; he has made outstanding contributions to the research of multi-photon fluorescence three-dimensional optical microscopy, three-dimensional optical data storage and photonic crystals. His research results play an important and critical role in promoting the development of modern optical microscopy and laser light clamps. At this year's Nasdaq Expo, Professor Gu will give a keynote speech on "Nanomaterials for Green Photonics : From Scientific Development to Research Transformation".
Academician Zhang Xiang
Professor Zhang Xiang is a famous Chinese scientist. He is currently an academician of the National Academy of Engineering, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an academician of the Taiwan Central Research Institute, a professor at the University of California, Berkeley, director of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, director of the NSF Center for Nanoscience and Engineering (NSEC), and director of the Department of Materials Science of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). He is also a fellow of the American Physics Society, the American Optical Society, the American Society of Science Progress, the International Society of Optical Engineering and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Professor Zhang has made many pioneering work in the fields of metamaterials, surface plasmon optics, nanophotonics and biotechnology: the nano-invisible cloak he presided over was listed as one of the top ten scientific discoveries in the world in 2008 by Time magazine. His scientific research team took the lead in developing a superlens, and for the first time, the resolution of optical imaging exceeded the diffraction limit , and also invented the world's smallest nanolaser, graphene modulator, etc. Up to now, Professor Zhang Xiang has published more than 300 academic papers in world-class journals such as Science, Nature and Physical Review Letters, and has made hundreds of conference reports and invitation reports.
