On September 25, 2022, the whistle sounded and the flag was flying. On the vast sea, officers and soldiers welcomed the 10th anniversary of the aircraft carrier Liaoning ship with the highest etiquette of the navy. Our new generation of aircraft carriers will advance into the deep blue with the Liaoning ship!"

A full ten years ago on September 25, 2012, my country's first aircraft carrier, Liaoning ship, was handed over to the line, hull number 16.
In the past ten years, we have not only witnessed the Liaoning ship moving towards the deep blue step by step, but also witnessed it from a single ship to a formation, from testing training to preparing for war, the Liaoning ship sailed high and shook waves. Now, the People's Navy has entered the "three aircraft carrier era". Upstream News has sorted out the highlights of the Liaoning ship and the Chinese aircraft carrier in the past decade by integrating public information.

December 2016 The formation carried out long-sea training in the Western Pacific Ocean for the first time
December 24, 2016 Navy spokesman Liang Yang announced that China's first aircraft carrier formation, the Liaoning fleet, went to the Western Pacific waters to carry out long-sea training, which is the first time that the Liaoning ship goes out to the long-sea training. A professional familiar with training said that the implementation of the Liaoning fleet's long-distance voyage said, "First, the self-defense capability can be formed before the island chain can be released. Secondly, the number of carrier-based aircraft and pilots must meet a certain standard; at the same time, the aircraft carrier's own equipment performance is also required, and the maintenance and support capabilities of various types of carrier-based aircraft are also required. Finally, this proves that the logistics support capabilities of the aircraft carrier formation have been improved. The entire aircraft carrier formation consists of multiple destroyers, which may also include underwater combat forces, and its scale is much larger than that of the destroyer formation, which also means that the logistics support capabilities of the long-sea training are different, requiring higher logistics support capabilities."

July 7, 2017 Arrival in Hong Kong for the first time with the formation
On the morning of July 7, 2017, the Navy Liaoning aircraft carrier formation arrived in Hong Kong after its cross-regional maneuver training mission and participated in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the People's Liberation Army's entry into Hong Kong. According to reports, the arrival of the Liaoning ship in Hong Kong has set off a wave of craze across Hong Kong. Citizens were waiting by the beach early that morning, hoping to witness the majestic posture of the Liaoning ship. After the Liaoning fleet arrived in Hong Kong, it opened to the public for the first time. According to reports, from the 8th to 9th, the Liaoning ship and its three ships were opened to the public, allowing citizens to board the ship to visit. PLA troops stationed in Hong Kong had previously publicly distributed a total of 2,000 visiting tickets, exclusively for Hong Kong permanent residents to visit. Since tickets are difficult to get, a rush of queues has been set off, and the visiting tickets were swept away in a short time.

April 12, 2018 Debuting at the South China Sea military parade with the formation
On the morning of April 12, 2018, the Central Military Commission grandly held the maritime parade in the South China Sea . 48 ships , 76 fighter jets, and more than 10,000 officers and soldiers participated in the parade. This is an unprecedented maritime parade in the history of New China, and the Liaoning aircraft carrier formation made a wonderful debut. Some naval experts said that compared with China's last 2009 maritime parade, this parade highlighted that "the naval combat force system has been comprehensively reshaped in the past decade."

April 2022 Training with the formation in the Bohai sea area

On September 23, 2022, a report in the "News Broadcast" showed that 24 J-15 fighters were parked on the deck of China's first aircraft carrier, Liaoning. This is the most J-15 fighters parked on the deck of the aircraft carrier in public.
For ten years, every time the Liaoning ship appears, military fans will pay attention to the subtle changes in its thriving growth through public images. During this period, what surprised military fans the most was that "there are more aircraft on the deck of Liaoning ships." From the earliest one or two, to 5, 8, 13, and now to 24, the number of aircraft has continued to increase, demonstrating that the combat effectiveness of the aircraft carrier formation has been continuously improved. Military experts believe that this shows that the Liaoning ship has formed complete combat effectiveness and support through continuous exploration in the past ten years since it was enlisted. The strength of the Liaoning ship is enough to reassure the people of the whole country.
2 Brothers of Liaoning ship
On April 26, 2017, my country's first domestically produced aircraft carrier held a launch ceremony at Dalian Shipyard .
On December 17, 2019, the aircraft carrier was officially launched and named "Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy Shandong Ship". The hull number is "17", marking the People's Navy's entry into the "dual aircraft carrier era".

Shandong Ship
Shandong Ship is the first aircraft carrier independently designed, supported and built by my country. During the construction process, the Shandong Ship broke through two major technical bottlenecks that restricted the development of my country's aircraft carrier industry, including hull structure and power core equipment, as well as key technologies for the design and construction of ship power products such as generator sets, integrated power systems, energy-saving and emission reduction devices.
Since joining the ranks, Shandong ships have actively sought seamless connection between the trial training ground and the naval battlefield. In just over a year, it has achieved a major breakthrough from the first landing to the maximum concentrated dispatch recovery guarantee capability, and successfully completed the test tasks of J-15 carrier-based aircraft multi-category recycling guidance, high-sea conditions weapons live-fire shooting, maritime supply, cross-regional maneuver and other test tasks, breaking through many historical records of the development of my country's aircraft carriers, and its combat effectiveness has continued to rise. On September 24, 2020, a spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense said that the Shandong ship completed routine training and maritime trials.

Fujian ship launched
On June 17, 2022, my country's third aircraft carrier and the first catapult aircraft carrier Fujian ship launched. This is an aircraft carrier designed and built entirely by my country. It adopts a straight-through long flight deck, equipped with electromagnetic catapult and blocking device, and has a full load displacement of more than 80,000 tons. This is the arrival of the People's Navy's "three aircraft carrier era" and a new era. Foreign media generally believe that the launch of the Fujian ship marks a major military progress in China and that China's aircraft carrier construction capabilities have reached a new level. The electromagnetic catapult system it is equipped with is also regarded as a "major leap" for the Chinese Navy.
