IT Home February 5th news, Google Chrome browser's icon design in blue circles surrounded by three windmill-shaped slices has remained the same, with only minor adjustments. Now, the Chrome browser will use the latest fine-tuned icon soon.
interaction designer Elvin Hu shared a new icon design on Twitter . He said: "Some people may have noticed that there is a new icon in today's Chrome Canary update. Yes! We have updated the Chrome icon for the first time in 8 years. The new icon will soon start to appear on your device."
According to reports, the new icon removes shadows, optimizes proportions and brightens the color , thereby simplifying the main brand icons to match Google's more modern brand expression.
IT Home learned that from the actual installation effect, the new icon removes the shadows in the design, but still maintains a slight gradient between red, yellow and green. The icon does not look exactly the same on each platform .

Windows version will get a more gradient look to fit Microsoft 's new Fluent UI, Chrome OS version will get a completely solid color version to match other system icons, and Mac version icons will have a shadow inside the existing white rounded square.
