On August 25, 2022, the results of the 8th Lu Xun Literature Award were announced. A total of 35 works in 7 awards won this honor. The works of writers and villagers from Zhangmutou "The First Village of Chinese Writers" accounted for two seats - Wang Song 's novel "Red Camel" won the "Novella Award", and Jiang Zi's prose "Returning Home" won the "Prose and Essay Award". This is the second time that Zhangmutou "Writer Village" writer Wang Shiyue's novella "National Order" won the 5th Lu Xun Literature Award in 2010.

On August 21, 2022, Dongguan Exhibition Hall welcomed a group of special visitors- more than 30 CUHK alumni led their children to the exhibition hall to check in for the "Song of Songs and Torch" which has been praised by all walks of life, "The Strings and Songs of the Continuous Torch and Torch - Special Exhibition of the "Mr. Pingshi" of the South China Education Monument", recalling the years of the alma mater running schools in Pingshi, northern Guangdong during the War of Resistance Against Japan, thanking the spirit of the predecessors of CUHK, and inheriting the torch of education in South China.
