New soldiers from Youyang Squadron, the fifth detachment of the Chongqing Corps of the Armed Police, surrounded him and listened with relish.
11951, 18-year-old Yang Yongchang signed up for the army from Youyang, Chongqing, and joined the 187th Division of the 63rd Army of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army. In September of the following year, he went to North Korea to participate in the war.
"Eighty rounds of bullets, one gun, and four grenades per person. Compared with the enemy, our weapons and equipment are backward, and our logistics support cannot keep up. However, my old army wiped out the enemy's ace camp in the battle in the Xuemali area alone, and comrade Liu Guangzi captured 63 enemies and became a legendary hero!" With Yang Yongchang's narration, one vivid deed after another reappeared the glorious years of the Volunteer Army's battle on the battlefield.
