The Municipal Meteorological Bureau predicts that in the next few days, due to the influence of southerly rapids and high-altitude troughs, there will still be significant heavy rainfall and strong convective weather in our city. In accordance with the "Yingde City Flood Control, Drought, Wind and Frost Emergency Plan", the Municipal Third Flood Control Command decided to issue a flood prevention level IV (4) warning from 10:30 on March 21 and launch an emergency response from flood prevention level IV (4).

Zhong Zhijian, director of Yingde Water Affairs Bureau, said: "According to the requirements of this announcement, the daily rainfall exceeds 38 mm, which is called the flood control. Normally, from April 15 to October 15, the flood control period is the flood control period. In response to the current weather conditions, the Municipal Third Flood Control Command requires all levels and departments to attach great importance to it, strengthen duty, and effectively carry out safety inspections in key areas and important links, and promptly discover and eliminate safety hazards and weak links.
Mayor Huang Zhensheng demanded that the whole city should mobilize urgently, take action immediately, closely monitor the trends of rain and water, promptly predict and early warning, and do their best to defend themselves to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
Flood prevention tips are for your reference:
1. Do not throw garbage, debris, etc. into the sewer in normal times to prevent water accumulation and disasters during heavy rains.
2. Electrical sockets, switches, etc. in the homes of residents on the ground floor should be moved to a safe place more than 1 meter away from the ground. Once water accumulation outside floods into the house, the power supply should be cut off in time to prevent water accumulation from being electrocuted and electric shocked.
3. Residential residential areas with low-lying terrain should adopt "small surround" measures according to local conditions, such as building walls, placing water barriers at the gates, and configuring small pumps.
4. Try not to go out during heavy rainstorms, and try to bypass areas with severe water accumulation as much as possible. Pay attention to observation when walking in the water accumulation to prevent falling into cellar wells, pits and holes.
5. The river channel is an important drainage channel. Do not dump garbage and waste at will to prevent the river channel from being silted.
or above are emergency methods for common flood seasons. Here is a small reference for you. I hope it can provide some small help for everyone's preparations during flood prevention period, so that we can work together to survive the flood season safely and orderly.
