The Fashion Design Newcomer Award, sponsored by the Industrial Bureau of the Ministry of Economics and Industry of Taiwan and executed by the Taiwan Textile Industry Expansion Conference, entered its 30th year this year. This contestants have different proportions of men and women's clothing and design directions than before. The Fashion Design Newcomer Award held since 1987 has become a platform for fashion design-related businesses to discover potential talents. About 90% of the winners continue to invest in the industry, which is one of the potential driving forces for the development of Taiwan's textile and clothing industry. In order to encourage students to enter the industry, the advanced enterprise also supports the fashion design newcomer award activities. The total prize money for this year is 39,000 US dollars. In addition to the top six winners, the other 10 finalists also received a prize of 1,000 US dollars, giving substantial recognition of the creative performance.
