BEST OF PURE Best modern and simple-Tokyo
from Tokyo, Japan "Komazawa-house" designed by Toshio Nakajima stood out and became the winner of "BEST OF PURE"
This kitchen is located in the Komazawa exhibition hall of Yamato Industrial Co., Ltd., which is a professional real estate builder. It realizes a highly flexible living and dining room through a unique hybrid structure, which combines the advantages of two structures: the flexibility of the wooden structure and the robustness of the reinforced concrete structure.
SieMatic Kitchen is in the center of this space. Mr. Keizo Sakurai, director of ZIZAI DESIGN OFFICE, who gathered many elites within Yamato Industry, reviewed the advantages of Japan's four seasons and Japanese residences, and proposed a new way of displaying LDK in the space.
*LDK refers to the integrated space formed by treating the living room (Living room), Dining room and Kitchen as an open whole.
It creates rhythmic space through the flat ceiling and steps on the floor. The countertop is made of custom-made oak trees, combining white wood grain and zebra pattern, and the contrast with graphite grey is stunning. The size of the central island is 5800x1844mm.
This is a new kitchen-centric lifestyle that incorporates the free ideas of family gatherings such as cooking, dining, studying and chatting, while also relaxing on the built-in sofa.
Reason for winning
This space combines cooking, eating and life in a very interesting way, combining different elements in a perfect movement. The main functional area of the kitchen is concentrated on the cabinet along the wall, and the central island becomes a spacious world stage where everything is staged at the same time.
This kitchen can create a timeless, advanced "medium-century modern" atmosphere and the simple and unique concept of a luxurious kitchen. It can be effortlessly integrated with the building of the house. It is standing on the base and is itself a building.
The perfect flooring effect and extremely versatile combination also reflect the advanced materials used in the space, forming the true core of a flowing life. Also smooth is the structure of the kitchen itself, where cooking, dining, communication and relaxation coexist perfectly and harmoniously.
BEST OF URBAN Best Free City - Paris, France
From Paris, France, the "Cuisine 12hparjour" designed by Myriam Baudrier, Joniel, was selected by the jury for multiple rounds and became the winner of "BEST OF URBAN"
This kitchen is Simantic SLX series used in URBAN design. It uses SimiLaque Black Ultra-matt door panels, with black matte anodized handle slots, and mixes touch-opening cabinet doors, as well as some wooden elements details. The countertops, backsplash and long shelves on the walls are made of 20mm thick polished Borghini marble.
This kitchen has a great advantage. There is a garden with plants outside, which makes us forget that we are in the center of Paris, which looks like a quiet and bright Garden of Eden. The kitchen is arranged along the walls of the main living room and is the most lit place in the entire house, facing the patio, thanks to some glass ceiling , just like a modern balcony.
This place is a family home and also the owner's office. She has a decoration and soft decoration company @12hparjour. Her team and clients’ meetings were held around this large wooden table facing the kitchen.
Kitchen was designed with the intention of being open, easy to operate, and can be used by guests and family at any time of the day. The place is designed at its best, from the display plates to items and lamps, all carefully selected to create a perfectly decorative and functional kitchen that fits her high-end client Level and her image as a designer.
Reason for winning the award
This living space is very convincing in all aspects: the materials and colors are very matched, and the clever use of light, furniture and accessories form a harmonious and perfect coherent design.
It is the attention to detail that makes this fully functional one-line kitchen stand out. In a refreshing way, Simantic's SLX series is combined with URBAN design and tailored to the owner for a perfect blend.
In this room bathed in the sun, it presents a truly heroic image, a small food oasis, where you relax, regenerate and celebrate life! Although the room is compact, the atmosphere is open, airy and calm.
The kitchen is well integrated with the room, rather than overdoing the dominance. It is compact, practical, unique and simple. The overall impression is the perfect contrast between the light marble countertop and the dark matte black partition.
I also like that this room can be used as a home kitchen, but also as an office space. This shows how comfortable the kitchen is designed to be, and it is a totally a place to spend the whole day happily.
Congratulations to the award-winning designers in the PURE series and URBAN series, who used ingenuity and wonderful uses to combine design with the lifestyle of the "new luxury" era to open up a new experience in the beautiful kitchen.
The winners of the CLASSIC series and Supreme Award will be announced in the next issue. Please stay tuned...
