Recently, a symposium on soliciting opinions and suggestions from representatives of the People's Congress of some provinces in Changsha was held in the Municipal Procuratorate. Ding Weiqun, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Procurator-General of Hunan Provincial People's Procuratorate, Huang Jiahui, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of Changsha Municipal People's Congress, Duan Haibo, Deputy Chairman of the Supervision and Judicial Committee, and 10 Provincial People's Congress representatives attended the symposium. , Ding Weiqun reported on the main contents of the "Hunan Provincial People's Procuratorate Work Report (Draft for Comments)" and briefly introduced the main achievements, practices, experiences and work arrangements for the province's procuratorate work in 2018.
Ding Weiqun evaluated that Changsha's procuratorial work reflects the responsibility of the provincial capital and set an example. He pointed out that the opinions and suggestions of the provincial people's congress deputies have a high position and put forward high expectations and requirements for procuratorial work from a global perspective. They are very targeted and down-to-earth. They are the driving force for promoting the scientific development of the work of the procuratorate in the province and the direction for the next step to effectively strengthen and improve the work. Regarding the opinions and suggestions of the representatives, we must carefully organize and summarize and study them, further modify and improve the work report, and transform it into intellectual achievements for improving the work, promote the scientific development of procuratorial work, and better serve the economic and social development of the province.
Lord Wang expressed his gratitude to all leaders and deputies for their long-term supervision, support and care for the Changsha procuratorial work. The opinions and suggestions put forward by the representatives to the work report of the Provincial Procuratorate are their expectations and encouragement for the procuratorate. He pointed out that in the past year, the Changsha procuratorate has taken many new measures and made many new developments around judicial reform and coordinated with the reform of procuratorial functions. At the fourth session of the 15th People's Congress of Changsha, which just concluded, the work report of the Municipal Procuratorate was approved with a high approval rate of 95.8%, setting a record high since secret electronic voting. He urged all representatives to put forward more valuable opinions and suggestions. The Municipal Procuratorate will speed up the sorting of suggestions put forward by all representatives, work hard to rectify them, and deploy them in future work.
Huang Jiahui fully affirmed the work of the provincial and municipal procuratorates over the years. He hopes that the procuratorate will strengthen its legal supervision function, focus on its main responsibilities and main business, further strengthen public interest litigation work, serve the development of private enterprises, and make new efforts to build a prosperous, beautiful and happy new Hunan. He called on all representatives to stand at the height of the overall situation, strongly support and actively care about procuratorial work, and further promote procuratorial work to make greater contributions to economic and social development.
The delegates spoke enthusiastically, fully affirmed the procuratorial work in the province, and expressed good opinions and suggestions on the procuratorial work report and procuratorial work. The representatives believe that the procuratorates across the province have thoroughly implemented the overall requirements of procuratorial work in the new era of "being politically conscious, taking the overall situation into consideration, seeking development, and focusing on self-improvement", conscientiously implement the resolution of the first session of the 13th Provincial People's Congress, closely focus on the overall situation of reform, development and stability in the province, faithfully fulfill the legal supervision responsibilities entrusted by the Constitution and laws, and promote the procuratorial work in the province to take solid steps in the critical period of a new round of reform and development.
