China News Service, Chongqing, July 6 (Reporter Liu Xianglin) The 19th Cross-Strait Joint-Strait-Bayu Cultural and Education Visit Week and the 6th Taiwan University Students Chongqing Practice Activity were launched on Chongqing University of Technology and Business on the 6th. 137 teachers and students from 40 universities in Taiwan will visit and intern in Chongqing for one month to promote exchanges and cooperation between the education circles and young students in Chongqing and Taiwan.
The teachers and students who visited it mainly come from Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, Fengjia University , Yishou University and other schools. They are mainly undergraduate students in junior and senior year. The students' majors cover finance, economic management, mechanical engineering and management education, etc. During the previous week of visit, Taiwanese teachers and students will visit Chongqing University Town , listen to the Bayu cultural lectures, visit Chongqing Anti-Japanese War Ruins Museum , etc.
In the next month, 97 Taiwanese college students will go to Chongqing Xiyong Microelectric Park, Chongqing Bank, Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank, Chongqing Water Group, Chongqing Expressway Group and other 12 enterprises and institutions for internships. In order to help Taiwanese college students who are intern in Chongqing quickly understand and adapt to mainland life, the organizer also invited 70 volunteers from four universities in Chongqing to pair up with Taiwanese college students.

Taiwan Zhongzhou University of Science and Technology Deputy R&D Director Chen Jinzhao said at the launching ceremony that during the internship in mainland China, I hope that in addition to learning relevant knowledge and skills of enterprises, Taiwanese students can also deeply understand Chongqing's industrial characteristics and talent needs, and personally experience the development of the mainland society. This will help young people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait to deepen their understanding and understanding, and will be conducive to in-depth exchanges between the two sides in the future. I hope that students on both sides of the Taiwan Strait may become acquainted after graduation, thereby promoting cooperation and entrepreneurship, and narrowing the distance between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.
Ding Shiyu, a junior at Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan who is about to intern in Chongqing, said in an interview with China News Service that more and more young Taiwanese people choose to study and find employment in the mainland. The one-month internship period gives Taiwanese college students the opportunity to get to know the mainland, hoping to use this to experience the mainland's corporate culture, work, and social environment. Ding Shiyu said that he hopes that after a month of internship and experience, he will win in the future at the starting line he chooses.
Hu Yi, director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government, said at the launch ceremony that carrying out various exchange activities between young people and students on both sides of the Taiwan Strait can build a communication platform for young people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, so that young people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait can enhance understanding, eliminate barriers, and achieve spiritual harmony.
