Time enters the 21st century. With the extension of highway mileage and changes in logistics methods, the market demand for high-quality heavy-duty vehicles is becoming increasingly urgent. Therefore, Qingling Automobile began to plan to introduce a heavy-duty vehicle product. After many discussions, Isuzu F series heavy-duty vehicles became the most ideal choice. In April 2001, Keizu Isuzu's first FVR heavy vehicle was officially launched.
In fact, when it comes to F series heavy cars, most people are familiar with it. The ground trainer with the highest appearance rate in the airport is the F series. In the Isuzu family, the F series is the acronym for the Forward model. The FVR produced by Qingling is a heavy-duty vehicle product among the F series models. In addition to FVR, there are also medium truck models such as FRR and FSR, which are sold domestically in a purely imported manner.
In early 2004, the Qingling Isuzu FVR won 161 bids in one fell swoop in the unified bidding of the State Post Bureau. Some of the vehicles will be put into provincial postal logistics transportation in the plateau and high-altitude areas. In order to verify the adaptability of FVR models to high-altitude areas of the plateau, Qingling Development technicians traveled more than 7,000 kilometers to Tibet for trial.
Because of the narrow cab, the width of the cab of the F series is obviously narrower than that of the Isuzu C/E series. The difference between the two can be clearly seen from the arrangement of wipers on the windshield. In order to adapt to domestic road conditions, Keizu Isuzu also offers two options for models of different uses: wide version bumper and narrow version bumper.
In terms of power, the Keizu Isuzu F series heavy-duty vehicle uses a 6HK1-TC inline six-cylinder diesel engine with a displacement of 7.8 liters, a maximum output power of 300 horsepower and a maximum torque of 980 Nm. Today, this data is a standard for entry-level heavy trucks. However, when domestic heavy trucks entered the 300 horsepower club 20 years ago, a 4x2 truck could have 300 horsepower, which is quite powerful.
Inside the cab, the F-Series Trucks are allowed to ride for 3 people, and there is a small sleeper behind the seat for a short rest. The instrument panel is not very eye-catching. The instruments arranged from small to large are mainly practical. They are water temperature meter, oil meter, air pressure meter, tachometer and speed meter. The drivetrain comes from Fast's 6-speed manual transmission.
Of course, in addition to 4x2 models like FVR, Qingling also produces FVM 6x2 trucks and FVZ 6x4 models on this platform. In addition to different driving forms, the corresponding load tonnage has also increased.
In the oil industry in Xinjiang, the 6x4 FVR is the most common truck model. Due to its durable characteristics, it is very popular among oil users.
And the Qingling Isuzu F series is also a once popular model in the domestic fire protection industry. Fire brigades in many areas have been equipped with various fire truck products made with F series chassis. From the most basic water tank foam fire trucks, to rescue fire trucks, and then to climbing fire trucks, the engines of the Keire Isuzu F series can withstand long-term fire extinguishing operations.
. In major airports, busy airline food trucks can always find the F series, with a low chassis and easy modification. This is the advantage of the F series that Qingling Isuzu F series can gain this market segment.
In 2010, in order to narrow the distance between ordinary users and the F series, Keizu Isuzu launched the FTR series heavy truck. The FTR, which uses four-cylinder engine, is cheaper, and has become the main model of high-end medium-sized trucks on the market.
Now, with the arrival of National VI emissions of heavy-duty diesel vehicles, the F series has also shown its old style. Qingling Isuzu has already been ready to replace the model, and the new Giant Cook series has begun to gradually replace the F series. I believe that with the support of Isuzu technology and Qingling's experience in deepening its cultivation in the Chinese market, the Giant Cook series can continue the glory of the F car.
