From 0:00 to 24:00 on October 8, Henan Province added 8 new local confirmed cases (7 cases in Zhengzhou City, all of which were found for screening and isolation control of key groups; 1 asymptomatic infection of converted to confirmed cases), and 30 new local asymptomatic infections (8 cases in Zhengzhou City, 26 cases in Pingdingshan City, 22 cases in Luoyang City, 22 cases in , and 1 case in Nanyang City, all of which were found for screening and isolation control of key groups; 11 cases were returned to Henan from outside the province, all of which were point-to-point closed-loop management). There were 4 new asymptomatic infections imported from abroad and no new confirmed cases of imported from abroad. Seven asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation, including 3 local cases (1 case in Luoyang City, 1 case in Pingdingshan City, 21 case in Zhoukou City), and 4 cases were imported from abroad.
From January 21, 2020 to 24:00 on October 8, 2022, Henan Province reported a total of 3,349 confirmed cases (3,121 local cases and 228 imported cases), 222 hospitalized cases (20 local cases and 2 imported cases), and 227 asymptomatic infections are still under medical observation (186 local cases and 41 imported cases). A total of close contacts have been traced, and 6,817 close contacts are being observed.
