The earthquake also caused water pipes to rupture, bridges to be misaligned, and road surfaces to be cracked in Kaohsiung, Taitung, Hualien and other places in Taiwan.
The main line of water pipes on Kaixuan Road, Fengshan, Kaohsiung has broken, the asphalt road surface cracked, and a large amount of tap water continues to gush out. In order to prevent people from entering the water-damaged area, local police and others are on the scene to guard the situation.

It is reported that since the tap water main road is 1 meter in diameter, mainly supplying water supply in Fengshan and Qianzhen, the water pipe rupture may cause a local water outage. The Kaohsiung City Government also said that it would ask residents to store water for later use.
