1949 On September 21, Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference The first plenary session of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was grandly opened in Huairen Hall, Zhongnanhai, Peiping. Chairman Mao Zedong delivered a famous speech ' The Chinese People Stand Up '. The meeting elected the National Committee of the CPPCC with Mao Zedong as chairman. Mao Zedong was elected as Chairman of the Central People's Government. The meeting passed the Beiping as the capital of Hong Kong People's Republic of China, and renamed Peking to Beijing. The meeting decided to adopt the AD. The conference also passed the "Common Program of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference" which clearly stipulates the national system and political system and domestic and foreign policies of the People's Republic of China.

11On October 9, 2019, the First National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was held. Member Ma Xulun, then Minister of Education of the Government Council, believed that the People's Republic of China had been established and should no longer be used as National Day. Ma Xulun was unable to attend the meeting on that day due to illness. He wrote a very simple proposal, which Mrs. Toluxun, Mrs. Xu Guangping, brought to the meeting. It is recommended that October 1 be identified as the anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The first plenary session of the first National Committee of the CPPCC was approved and sent to the Central People's Government for approval by the Secretariat of the Congress.

11 On December 2, 2019, the Fourth Session of the Central People's Government Committee accepted the suggestions of National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and passed the " Resolution on National Day of the People's Republic of China ", deciding that October 1 of each year is the great day of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the National Day of the People's Republic of China.

At the first meeting of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference on October 9, 1949, the first National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference passed the proposal "Please ask the government to clearly define October 1 as the National Day of the People's Republic of China to replace the old National Day of October 10th" and sent it to the Central People's Government for adoption.
Central People's Government Committee believes that this proposal of the First National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference is in line with historical reality and represents the will of the people, and decided to adopt it.
The Central People's Government Committee hereby declares that since 1950, October 1st of each year, the great day of the founding of the People's Republic of China, will be the National Day of the People's Republic of China.
