Hualien is surrounded by mountains and sea, and its most famous attraction is undoubtedly Taroko Grand Canyon . From Hualien to Taroko, you can take the 1129 Taiwan Travel Taroko Line (Hualien-Tianxiang) at the Hualien Bus Terminal next to Hualien Railway Station. The one-day ticket is NT$250 and can be used as many times as you like on the same day. If you are going from Taipei to Taroko, you can also get off at Xincheng Railway Station and transfer to the Taiwan Express Taroko Line.
We booked a one-day trip to Taroko online for about 200 to 300 yuan per person. The seven-seater business car drove directly to the hotel and picked us up downstairs.
The driver is only in his twenties. He has yellow hair and a floral shirt. He is a typical "Taiwanese". We are similar in age and we have a great time chatting. In order to liven up the atmosphere, the younger brother told a joke about the aborigines, and his words revealed the "different views" of the Han people on the aborigines.
The atmosphere gradually opened up, and I dared to ask any questions. I asked the boy whether he supported blue or green. He said he was not interested in either one. He only cared about whether he would have a job tomorrow.
The first stop is to see Qingshui Cliff , which is so famous that I don’t need to go into details.

Taroko
is located about 25 kilometers north of Hualien. The landscape is dominated by canyons and cliffs. Precipitous mountains with an average altitude of 2,000 meters surround the marble canyon. The central transverse highway zigzags through it. The natural landscape is very spectacular. Tourists mainly visit the 20-kilometer-long section of the Zhongheng Highway from Taroko to Tianxiang. The route includes Taroko Archway, Changchun Temple, Shakadang Trail, Buloh Bay, and Yanzikou. , Jiuqu Cave, Cimu Bridge, Green Water, Tianxiang and other scenic spots, and there are also some trails for tourists to explore on foot.
Passing by the Cross-Taiwan Highway Archway, this is part of the Trans-Taiwan Highway that goes through mountains and ridges.
When the car drives to Yanzikou or Shakadang Tunnel (I can’t remember exactly), everyone will get off the car and walk. To prevent injuries from falling rocks, everyone must wear a safety helmet. The road is dug out of the cliff, similar to the wall-hanging road in Guoliang Village, Henan, which is dangerous and strange.
There are occasionally aboriginal houses on the mountain, as well as temples worshiped by Han people. The driver said that now that the young and strong aborigines have gone to work in big cities like Taipei and Kaohsiung, there are fewer and fewer people in the mountains.
When we reach a place where cars can’t drive, the hiking really begins.

Sometimes I turned a corner and suddenly heard the sound of loud water. I looked down through the big tree and saw that Liwu River was rushing through the scattered stones.
It is very similar to the scenery in "Sediq Bale". Later I checked and found that the filming location of "Sediq Bale" was Nantou, but the aborigines and Seediq people living in Taroko were originally Same race.

The landform is also very similar to Yuntai Mountain in Henan, but it is more primitive and cleaner than Yuntai Mountain.

When the Zhongheng Highway was built, due to the dangerous terrain in the mountainous area, many employees who participated in the construction were buried in Taroko. The Changchun Temple enshrines the tombs of 212 veterans who died in the line of duty. The Changchun Temple is embedded in the mountain wall according to the terrain and stands at the foot of the cliff. There is a flowing waterfall below. It looks very poetic and picturesque from a distance.

Eat at the Taroko Visitor Center. The large canteen opened by the aborigines sells a variety of stir-fried vegetables and soups. The prices are very beautiful, and it is not like a scenic spot at all - I forgot to mention that Taroko as a One of Taiwan's most famous scenic spots is free.
Compared with the mountains, rivers and rivers in the mainland, the scenery in Taroko is really ordinary, and it is more about feelings.
The last stop of the day trip is Qixingtan, which also happens to be the location of our hotel. Although Qixingtan is called "tan", it is indeed a turquoise sea.
It is green near and suddenly turns dark blue in the distance. The changes in the seabed topography create the beautiful scenery in front of you.
Qixingtan is more famous for its huge rolling waves. When I was preparing to take off at the beach, a big wave suddenly hit me, and my slender and charming lower body was completely soaked.

A few people drank another bottle of sorghum wine. They checked the popular delicacies in Hualien on Taiwan's "Dianping.com" and decided to take a stroll there.

The buns look like the north, but the fillings are as sweet as the south, fragrant but not greasy. Biting the bun and drinking winter melon tea , I felt so comfortable that I felt like I was flying. This is the taste that I found after traveling through an entire unfamiliar city. This is a whole night of completely letting go and blending in with the surroundings.
