Lin Yunru :
was born on August 17, 2001 in Taipei, China. A player holding a table tennis racket horizontally with his left hand.
In the men's singles final of the 2019 ITTF Czech Open, Lin Yunru defeated Germany's Ocharov 4-1 and won the championship. Lin Yunru is 18 years old.
Prior to this, he had performed well at the China Open and Hong Kong Open: he was the mixed doubles champion.

In 2018, 17-year-old Lin Yunru won the mixed doubles, men's doubles and men's singles championships in the Oman Challenge.
In the third and fourth place finals of the men's singles at the 2019 Table Tennis World Cup, Lin Yunru defeated Olympic champion Ma Long 4:3 and won the third place.
This left-handed young player has been on a high journey. In July 2019, the world ranking went from 118th to 16th in the world. In December 2019, the world ranking was No. 7. In January 2020, the world ranking reached No. 6.
At the 2019 Chengdu World Cup, Lin Yunru defeated Ma Long 4:3 and won the bronze medal. Lin Yunru participated in the Men's Table Tennis World Cup for the first time and won a World Cup medal. This made history for the Chinese Taipei men's team.
