According to reports, this year’s East Asian Cup football match will be held at two venues, one is Toyota Football Stadium in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, and the other is Kashima Football Stadium in Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The three games of the Chinese men's team were all played at Toyota Football Stadium: the first game against the South Korean team (July 20), the second game against the Japanese team (July 24), and the third game against the Hong Kong team of China (July 24). The first match of the Chinese women's team against the Chinese Taipei team will be held at the Toyota Football Stadium. East Asia Cup, also known as the East Asia Final Four, is hosted by Japan, South Korea, and China in turn. The East Asian Cup was held for the first time in 2003 and the women's football competition was added in 2005. Chongqing and Wuhan in China hosted the event in 2008 and 2015 respectively. The last competition was held in South Korea in 2019. The Korean team won the men's championship and the Japanese team won the women's championship.
