While some players still have great talent under unpopular contracts, it becomes quite a challenge to move that huge amount of money to another team's talent. Most clubs, for the most part, will go into this offseason knowing they have to open up their vaults and give up something valuable in order to finally get rid of certain contracts that have hindered their trade and free agent signing potential.

With that out of the way, here are some of the better deals that could be offered this offseason to clear some bad contracts off certain teams' books.

1. Kevin Love (three years, $91.5 million remaining)

New York Knicks already Finished taking care of all young people. Frankly, that's not their strong suit and it shouldn't be their goal. The Knicks have always prided themselves on being a top destination for free agents, and that strategy shouldn't hold back this offseason.

Kevin Love has accumulated quite a bit of rust as the only star player in a trio that won a championship with the Cavaliers. His recent contract with the Cavaliers is another questionable move by their front office in recent years. At 32 years old, Love still has considerable playing time. His style of play also caters to his age as a pitcher, and he can occasionally make big plays in the paint. Somehow, during his transition from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Cavaliers, he was no longer the focal point of the franchise, even if the current team is mostly a lottery pick.

If the Knicks are ready to add big-name players in the future, Kevin Love coming to the Big Apple and once again increasing his value will be a big topic. Love is non-existent with the Cavaliers, and you also get two young players in Julius Randle and Bobby Portis, both 25 years old. Portis also only has one year left on his contract.

2. Horford (three years, $81 million remaining)

Players Received by 76ers: Dwight Powell, Delon Wright, Justin Jackson

Mavericks Received: Al Horford, 2020 first-round pick (Okla. Homer), 2021 second-round pick (New York)

For Daryl Morey and the Philadelphia 76ers, leaving Horford's contract is the most important thing as free agency begins. The 76ers will have to ship some draft picks to entice other teams to accept Horford's huge contract. The Dallas Mavericks would be a great place to start. The Mavericks are another team reportedly looking to offer Horford a max contract this offseason.

With Porzingis injured at times this season, Horford could provide extra help in the frontcourt. Embiid and Horford have similar playing styles, which makes them difficult to play together. Giving up his contract and his presence would be beneficial for Embiid.

The Sixers will also acquire some moveable pieces in future trades as they look for talent to join Embiid and Ben Simmons.

3. Chris Paul (two years, $85.6 million remaining)

Thunder receive: Bobby Portis, Frank Ntilikina, Julius Randle, 2021 first-round pick ( From Dallas)

Knicks Receive: Chris Paul, 2024 second-round pick (from Memphis)

The Knicks are reportedly willing to accept bad contracts in exchange for their assets. While they may not use half of the picks they received in the trade, they could certainly get the most from Oklahoma City. The Thunder recently pulled off a heist, moving Paul George to the Clippers while retaining a boatload of draft picks in exchange.

While New York will be acquiring a high-end star in Paul, they are also beginning to stockpile options in case another landmark trade swings their way.

While the Thunder are grateful for Paul's turnaround in this lottery-bound season, his talent doesn't fit the timeline of the Thunder, who plan to rebuild the team in the near future.

4. Eric Bledsoe (three years, $54.4 million remaining)

Bonus: Victor Oladipo

Pacers receive: Eric Bledsoe, Donte DiVincenzo, 2020 first round Draft pick (via Indiana) and 2022 second-round pick (via Indiana)

The Bucks need a star, and Eric Bledsoe is impossible to get. The Kentucky product came to Milwaukee and became the ideal point guard they coveted until the playoffs came around. Over the past three years, Bledsoe's postseason scoring average has reached an all-time low, going from 13.6 points in 2018 to 11.7 most recently.

Bledsoe's shining point is his tenacious defense and interior scoring, which shows that he may not be the best choice for the Bucks, because the Bucks have enough interior scoring, and Antetokounmpo mainly occupies the interior. He will join a team that features young center Myles Turner and budding scorer TJ Warren. They would also benefit from acquiring Donte DiVincenzo, a two-year guard with a huge long-ball advantage.

The Bucks are also testing the waters with Oladipo, whose trade value has legitimately taken a hit due to his injury. If the return is good, the Bucks will get another All-Star player to partner with Antetokounmpo, and he will be able to direct the offense from the backcourt.
