Recently, the BWF official website announced that four more events will be added to the Badminton World Tour from 2023 to 2026, and the Malaysian Open will be upgraded to a Super 1000 event.

Thomas Lund, Secretary-General of the Badminton World Federation, said that the 2023-2026 Badminton World Tour is expected to enhance badminton’s global status. “Badminton is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, with participation and fan numbers at record highs. More tournaments provide us with a fantastic opportunity to expand the sport’s reach around the world, not only in Established areas, but also in new areas it also allows more players to access our elite circuit and gain valuable experience," he said.

The organizer of the BWF World Tour Finals at the end of the season will be announced at a later date. The hosts of the BWF Tour Super 100 will also be announced separately.
