On the afternoon of October 26, the 2018 Hundred Media Summit Forum to commemorate the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up was held at the Xinhua Jianguo Hotel. With the theme of "New Era, New Actions, and New Chapters", the forum focused on the development achievements of the 40 years of reform and opening up. Presidents, editors-in-chief and senior reporters from hundreds of media across the country discussed the media integration development plan.

This forum is part of the Shangqiu Tour of 100 media companies across the country. It is organized by China Press Tourism Alliance, Huaihai Economic Zone City Newspaper Alliance, Silk Road Radio and Television Publicity Alliance, Henan Province Newspaper Association, and the CPC Shangqiu Municipal Committee Sponsored by the Propaganda Department and hosted by Shangqiu Daily Newspaper Group. The

forum began with a speech by Deng Xiaofeng, deputy secretary-general of the China Newspaper Association, on the development direction of the newspaper industry. There were Zhang Mingxin, deputy secretary of the party committee of China News Agency, Liu Daoming, president of Shangqiu Daily, Lin Wenxiong, president of Taiwan Herald, and Hangzhou Herald. Wang Ping, CEO of Fanwen Technology Co., Ltd., Liu Shuisheng, vice president of Macau Rule of Law News, and others discussed the development direction of the newspaper industry, news reform, media integration and transformation reform, cross-strait newspaper industry development issues, and the newspaper industry perspective on promoting the Belt and Road economy. In other aspects, he gave an in-depth and fascinating report, which aroused bursts of applause and serious thinking from the audience.
