Dawu Town is located in the west of , Tengzhou City, with Fushan Mountains to the north and Weishan Lake to the west. It has a beautiful environment and convenient transportation. More than 70 years ago, Dawu was the county resident of Fushan County, the anti-Japanese base area in southern Shandong. Today, the Shandong People's Anti-Japanese Armed Uprising Memorial Hall is located at Dawuhong Mountain Pass. It tells people today about this period of red history and awakens our memories of a glorious period.

Because Fushan County has a short history, only about 12 years. After adding the continuous changes of administrative division . Although the introduction to the historical context of Fushan County on the Internet is clear, it is relatively simple, and there are many deviations in records such as affiliation names and times. On the basis of consulting relevant historical materials, we conducted a detailed review of the history of Fushan County to fill in the historical gaps.
The history can be traced back to 1937. With the outbreak of the Japanese army's all-out invasion of China, Shandong Provincial Government Chairman Han Fuju abandoned Jinan, and Shandong soon fell. In March 1939, Chen Guang, acting commander of the 115th Division of the Communist Party of China, and Luo Ronghuan, political commissar, led the division headquarters and the 686th Regiment of the 343rd Brigade into Shandong. They successively joined forces with the 6th Detachment of the Shandong Column, the Sulu Detachment and other units to open up the Shandong Anti-Japanese Base Area. Before the 115th Division entered southern Shandong, the Fushan area had only the regimes of the Japanese puppets and the Kuomintang. The Communist Party and the Eighth Route Army did not establish their own political institutions, and supplies could only be solved by fundraising and self-raising. After the arrival of the 115th Division, it corrected the problem of neglecting the construction of the country's anti-Japanese democratic regime. Political Commissar Luo Ronghuan gave many instructions on how to establish an anti-Japanese democratic regime. The anti-Japanese democratic regime is of great importance. It is a major issue related to whether it can establish a foothold in the Shandong mountainous area and whether it can develop and consolidate the anti-Japanese base areas. It is necessary to seize the opportunity to establish an anti-Japanese democratic regime under the leadership of the party.
follows the spirit of this directive. In 1940, the 686th Regiment of the 115th Division went to work in the eastern area of Weishan Lake and established the Hudong Working Committee, which was later changed to the Hudong County Committee. The jurisdiction area is roughly the area east of Jining , Yanzhou to the south, and Zoucheng to the west. In August 1944, after the first victory in the Weishan Lake area's counterattack against the stubborn army, the Lunan Second Prefectural Committee (Agency) was established. In order to adapt to the needs of the new struggle situation, the Lunan District Party Committee and the Administrative Office of the Communist Party of China adjusted the administrative divisions of some counties in October 1944, dividing Hudong County into two parts, with Luqiao to the north being Yanji County and the south of the two cities being Fushan County. The history of Dawu as the county seat of Fushan County begins here. It should be pointed out that the statement on the Internet about the time when Fushan County was established in August 1944 is inaccurate. It should be October of the same year. It is corrected today.
At the same time, the Fushan County Committee and County Government of the Communist Party of China were established. Xu Yan, deputy secretary of the Second Prefectural Committee of Lunan, also served as secretary of the Fushan County Committee, Zhai Youren served as deputy secretary, and Yan Huaping served as county magistrate of the Anti-Japanese Democratic Government. The Fushan County Committee and County Government of the Communist Party of China formed the anti-Japanese armed forces during the Anti-Japanese War, led the anti-Japanese struggle, and made outstanding contributions to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.
In August 1945, the people of Fushan County ushered in the victory of the Anti-Japanese War. In March 1946, the Fushan County Government of the Communist Party of China was revoked.
In June 1946, the civil war broke out. In October, the Lunan District Party Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to rebuild Fushan County. The Fushan County Committee is headed by Sun Liming as the secretary of the county committee. The main members include: Organization Minister Qiu Tianyi, Armed Forces Minister Zhao Keji, Democracy Minister Zhao Jinxian, county committee members include Yan Huaping, Liu Zhongmin, Ma Xiumei, and county committee secretary Gong Xuede; the county government has Yan Huaping as the county magistrate, and the deputy county magistrate is Song Wensheng. The current Tengzhou First People's Hospital was once the former site of the Fushan County Party Committee, and the former site of the county government was the former office of the Dawu Town Government. Dongwu Village is the office of the Public Security Bureau and the Grain Bureau, and Xiaowu Village is the office of the Fushan County Court and Procuratorate.
During the three years of the People's War, with the changes in the strategic stage of the People's Army, the area under the jurisdiction of Fushan County has changed, but its county area roughly includes today's Binhu Town and Dawu Town in Tengzhou, Liangcheng and Township, Luqiao Town, Mapo Township, Shiqiang Town, Guoli Town, and Beisu Town in Zoucheng. Until June 1949, all of Shandong was liberated. During this period, Fushan County was affiliated to the Shandong Nannishan ( Teng County ) Prefecture.
In 1950, Nishan Prefecture and Taizao Prefecture were merged into Tengxian Prefecture (in Teng County), and Fushan County was affiliated to Tengxian Prefecture.
In September 1953, Tengxian County District and Huxi District were merged into Jining District (based in Jining), and Fushan County was changed to Jining District.

Not long after the founding of New China, Fushan County was full of waste and was waiting for development, and the education industry was gradually developed. Fushan School was established near today's Majia Silk Shop in Dawu. Later, based on it, the school developed into Dawu Central Primary School and Dawu Middle School respectively. In August 1954, Fushan Middle School was established in Fushan County as a key middle school in Jining. It is the predecessor of today's Tengzhou No. 3 Middle School. Comrade Zhao Zhihao, former Secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee, served as the principal of the school, and General Li Jinai, member of the Central Military Commission, was an alumnus of the school.
In March 1956, Fushan County was abolished and part of its jurisdiction was included in Teng County, Weishan County, and Zou County. Fushan County became the seat of Dawu Town, Tengzhou today.
At this point, Fushan County has officially entered history. The history of Dawu Town has turned a new page.
