Those who have read the work " Hongyan " must be familiar with Pu Zhigao . This person is a notorious traitor in "Red Rock". Because of his rebellion, many comrades were arrested. But what many people don't know is that "Pu Zhigao" actually existed in history, and his real name was Pu Huafu . The harm this person caused to the revolutionary cause can be said to be even greater than that of "Pu Zhigao".
Because of Pu Huafu's betrayal, many revolutionary patriots, including Jiang Jie, were arrested, and most of them were eventually killed by the enemy. However, Pu Huafu's wife Guo Dexian was an out-and-out revolutionary. She remained steadfast and unyielding after her arrest. No matter how tortured, coerced or induced by the enemy, she never revealed any secrets.
After Guo Dexian married Pu Huafu, he used his identity as a teacher as a cover to carry out revolutionary activities in Chengdu. Since joining the party in 1939, she has long put life and death aside, overcame numerous difficulties, and persisted for ten years. However, just when victory was about to dawn, an accident happened.
One day in January 1949, Pu Huafu told his wife that he was going to do something, but he didn't come back after leaving for a whole day, which aroused Guo Dexian's vigilance. In order to ensure nothing was missed, Guo Dexian immediately destroyed all the documents and managed to notify the deputy secretary of the Special Committee Ma Shitu. After Guo Dexian finished all this, just as she was preparing to evacuate, the door of the house was broken open by several agents, and she and her young daughter were immediately taken to prison.
After being taken to prison, Guo Dexian finally understood the reason for his arrest: it was his husband who betrayed him! It turned out that Pu Huafu was targeted by the spies not long after he left home. When he found out that someone was targeting him, he panicked and violated discipline and ran into another comrade's home to hide. As a result, he and his comrade were arrested together.
When the enemy interrogated Pu Huafu, he initially tried to deceive the enemy, but when he saw various torture instruments, he was frightened out of his wits. At that time, he poured beans into a bamboo tube and confessed to more than 80 underground workers, including Sister Jiang. What's even more annoying is that in order to protect himself, Pu Huafu even confessed his wife.
After Guo Dexian learned the truth, she was in great pain. She never imagined that her closest comrade-in-arms would betray herself and so many revolutionary comrades. However, the lofty belief in her heart made Guo Dexian quickly become strong. When faced with the enemy's interrogation, she not only refused to reveal any party secrets, but also loudly refuted the enemy. The angry enemy used torture on this weak woman, but still failed to make her surrender.
Guo Dexian, who is behind bars, always firmly believes that the revolution will one day win. To this end, she put forward the slogan "Persist in learning and welcome liberation" to inspire the comrades' fighting spirit and call on them to unite to fight the reactionaries and welcome victory.
Guo Dexian's revolutionary activities in prison caused panic among the enemies, so she was transferred to Bai Gongguan for continued detention. At that time, this notorious prison also held a patriotic general named Huang Xiansheng . Due to his special status, he enjoyed certain preferential treatment in prison and could read newspapers.
General Huang was very sympathetic to the revolution and often shared news from the newspaper with underground party members in prison. It was from General Huang that Guo Dexian learned about the establishment of New China.
After learning about the founding of New China, Guo Dexian, who had gone through so much hardship in the revolution, was extremely excited. She immediately worked with her comrades in prison to make a five-star red flag overnight. Guo Dexian and his comrades hoped to use this homemade red flag to welcome the liberation of Chongqing. However, many comrades did not wait for this day and died under the enemy's butcher knife.
In November 1949, the liberation army was in full swing, and the liberation of Chongqing was just around the corner. The enemy, like a bereaved dog, was in panic all day long, and actually raised his butcher knife at the imprisoned revolutionary patriots. Fortunately, the guards responsible for guarding Guo Dexian and other nineteen comrades had already changed their minds and secretly released them behind the enemy's back. Guo Dexian and others escaped.
After Guo Dexian left prison, she found a party organization in Chongqing at the end of November. She was later organized to work in the Chongqing Radio and Television Department. Due to her husband's involvement, Guo Dexian's party membership has never been restored, but she has no complaints and still works conscientiously for the party.
While doing his job well, Guo Dexian also took the initiative to serve as a counselor in many schools, using his spare time to preach the red spirit to his classmates and educating teachers and students with his own experience. Every year during the Qingming Festival, Guo Dexian would go to Gele Mountain to commemorate his comrades who sacrificed their lives. In 1983, Guo Dexian's party membership was finally restored, and two years later, she retired honorably.
On December 21, 2022, Guo Dexian passed away at the age of 98. Like thousands of revolutionaries who have made great contributions to the birth of New China, she is always worth remembering!
