Mao Zedong's daughter-in-law Shao Hua once said: "Comrade Jiang has a deep affection for Chairman Mao."
Speaking of Chairman Mao, Comrade Jiang said affectionately: "As a great historical figure, Mao Zedong belongs to China and the world. He always lives among us. We must study his scientific works seriously and draw wisdom and strength from it. China's Mao Zedong is the pride of our party, the pride of our country, and the pride of the Chinese nation. We always have deep respect and love for Chairman Mao!"
Speaking of Shao Hua, many readers may not be familiar with him. Ning Jingcheng will briefly outline some of her experiences with Mao Anying.

1. Growth experience
On October 30, 1938, Shao Hua was born in Yan'an.
Speaking of which, Shao Hua has had a tragic fate since he was a child.
A year after Shao Hua was born, his father Chen Zhenya went to the Soviet Union to treat his leg injury, and his mother Zhang Wenqiu took Liu Siqi and Shao Hua to go with him. Unfortunately, the group walked to Urumqi but was detained by Xinjiang warlords Shengshicai .

942, everyone was thrown into prison and they stayed for 4 years. In prison, his father Chen Zhenya was cruelly hurt. That memory made Shao Hua feel in pain. Liu Siqi recalled: "In prison, we ate moldy noodles, and the dishes were boiled radish in white water, without any oil. The noodles were mixed with sand, which hurts the teeth when chewed."
They just depended on each other in this way. Until 1946, under the background of cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, thanks to Premier Zhou's repeated running, Shao Hua and others were sent back to Yan'an.
After the outbreak of the Liberation War, Hu Zongnan attacked Yan'an, Shao Hua went to Shijiazhuang again, and finally arrived in Beijing.

949, Mao Anying's brother Mao Anying married Shao Hua's sister Liu Siqi. Since then, Shao Hua and Mao Anying often met. Later, Shao Hua took a leave of school to Dalian for recuperation due to illness, and Mao Anying happened to recuperation here. The two often communicated and had close contacts.
After Chairman Mao learned the news, he asked Mao Anying with concern: "I heard that you have communicated a lot of letters with Shao Hua, right? Do you mean to be friends? Shao Hua is a good child, you can talk to her." After many years, Shao Hua still remembers this experience when he recalls this experience. She said: "I don't know where Chairman Mao got the news. I know that we communicate frequently. He encourages us to strengthen our understanding of each other."

In Ning Jingcheng's view, it is pitiful to all parents in the world. How can parents not worry about their children? Even Chairman Mao is no exception.
talked about his love with Mao Anying, Shao Hua concluded: "On the one hand, it is love. Because of his entire experience, I also sympathize with him, and also a miserable life. I myself also have a miserable life. I have been in prison since I was a child and lived in the enemy prison for eight years. My father also died in prison, so he has both love and sympathy for each other, and supports and encourages each other. After we got married in 1960, of course, my father also encouraged us and cared about us. I hope we can have a support and a sustenance between each other."
The two have similar childhood experiences, which can easily lead to common topics.

2. Walking through your life together
960, Shao Hua and Mao Anying got married in Dalian. After marriage, the two, like most young people, also need to be run-in.
is different from Shao Hua's lively and extroverted personality, Mao Anying likes to be quiet. His biggest hobby is reading, especially Russian books, which is closely related to his experience of studying in the Soviet Union for 11 years.

So although he returned to China, he still retained some of the Soviet lifestyle and language habits. Sometimes when he can't find the appropriate Chinese words when speaking, he will express them in Russian. Shao Hua is also used to calling Mao Anying's Russian name - Guo Liang. In Ning Jingcheng's view, this point is actually very inclusive. Many people with study abroad backgrounds still cannot change their language habits after returning to China, and they can say a few foreign languages from time to time, which is understandable.
What touched Ning Jingcheng the most was that Shao Hua and Mao Anying supported each other, understood each other, and interpreted the true meaning of love.

In order to make Mao Anying exercise more, Shao Hua always invites friends to play Kron chess with Mao Anying, which is Mao Anying’s favorite sports event.
Mao Anying likes dancing, so Shao Hua accompanied him to participate and exercise. As long as Mao Anying is tired, Shao Hua will immediately accompany him home to rest.
It is precisely this mutual understanding that Mao Anying and Shao Hua have lived together for a lifetime.
Shao Hua later recalled their love, and his tone was full of happiness: "When he was walking, he always held me, because people who grew up in the Soviet Union were very accustomed to holding me, and were very used to wearing a coat with two people, which was very romantic. I felt very embarrassed at that time because I felt a little too eye-catching when walking on the street. I felt a little embarrassed when I held my arms with my arms. Later, he often said that he was afraid of something, we are husband and wife, it doesn't matter."

970, their son was born, and Mao Zedong personally named his grandson Mao Xinyu. mentioned Mao Xinyu, and Shao Hua's sister Zhang Shaolin recalled: "Xinyu was particularly naughty when he was a child, and he did a lot of things like climbing over the wall."
However, Shao Hua's education of his son was very strict.

Mao Xinyu recalled: "She is a kind mother and a strict teacher. She joined the party, joined the army, and went to the doctoral exam. Every step of my growth and progress was devoted to my mother's efforts."
Mao Xinyu started memorizing my grandfather's poems since she was a child. At that time, he did not understand why his mother asked him to memorize these poems. But as he grew older, he gradually began to understand the philosophy of life from poetry, and then he understood his mother's painstaking efforts.
Mao Xinyu said: "I can memorize most of my grandfather's more than 70 public poems. This is all thanks to the teachings of my mother when I was a child."
3. Care about the people and the motherland

We turned the camera to March 23, 2007, the day Mao Anying died.
At noon that day, Comrade Jiang called Shao Hua to express condolences. He said, "I heard about this unfortunate news at 11:10 and felt very sad. I hope Comrade An Qing's relatives will mourn you. I hope you should take care of your health and not be too sad and tired, because the burden on you is still heavy." Comrade Jiang said that Chairman Mao's family sacrificed many people for the revolution, and now Comrade An Qing has also left, so he must do his funeral well. These caring words touched Shao Hua very much.

In fact, as early as December 1993, on the eve of the 100th anniversary of Chairman Mao’s birth, Comrade Jiang went to Shaoshan to attend the ceremony and unveiled the bronze statue of Chairman Mao.
Comrade Jiang said: "Today is a festive day. We invited Chairman Mao back to Shaoshan. He is always in our hearts. We must inherit and develop Mao Zedong Thought for generations."
When Shao Hua later mentioned these things and talked about Comrade Jiang's deep feelings for Chairman Mao, Comrade Jiang sighed: "This is all right. We still have not done enough. We all respect Chairman Mao. Chairman Mao has made great achievements for the Chinese people. We must inherit and carry forward Mao Zedong Thought for generations."
Whenever we mention this matter, Shao Hua feels warm in his heart.

As Mao Zedong's daughter-in-law, Shao Hua not only had strict requirements on herself, but as Wen Ning Jingcheng introduced above, she was also strict in her education for her children.
Mao Xinyu once said: "For decades, my mother has often educated me with the deeds of my grandfather and Uncle An Ying, to be a qualified party member, a good grandson and a good granddaughter-in-law of Chairman Mao. He wants us to continue our honest family tradition and not to smear our grandfather."
Shao Hua's life has always cared about the people and the motherland.

Spring Festival in 2008, Shao Hua was hospitalized due to worsening condition. That year, the Wenchuan earthquake occurred. Although Shao Hua was too weak to speak, she still instructed Mao Xinyu to donate 100,000 yuan to the affected people on behalf of his family.
Recalling his mother's experience of fighting the disease, Mao Xinyu felt heartbroken: "My mother was very strong. She fought against the disease for 8 years and worked even though she was ill."
At 18:28 on June 24, 2008, Shao Hua passed away in Beijing 301 Hospital at the age of 69.

Postscript:
Looking back on Shao Hua's life, it can be said to be full of twists and turns, ordinary and great.
She has a perseverant character, is positive and optimistic when facing illness, and has never stopped researching and writing;
She loves photography, and uses her own way to record the development and changes of our country's society and the achievements of reform and opening up;
She attaches great importance to education, not only teaching her children to be modest and prudent, and being a low-key person, but also later served as the principal of a school to cultivate the next generation of talents for the motherland.
In view of this, some people praised Shao Hua: "A great woman, an ordinary wife."
I would like to use this article to pay tribute to General Shao Hua.
