In fact, Wu Zhonghao is indeed not simple. When he was alive, he was called Chairman Mao’s number one favorite. He followed Chairman Mao through life and death and made immortal contributions.
It’s a pity that he died at the age of 27. If he could survive, perhaps another outstanding marshal would be added in the history of our party.
Focus on the country in 1903, Wu Zhonghao was born in a scholarly family in Hunan Province.
At that time, the Qing Dynasty had already reached the verge of collapse. Although Wu Zhonghao's father passed the imperial examination, he was unable to enter the officialdom for a long time.
However, Wu Zhonghao's father is very financially wise. He bought land and opened shops at home. His life was prosperous. Wu Zhonghao was also a young master born with a golden spoon in his mouth.
However, Wu Zhonghao did not become arrogant because of his birth. On the contrary, he had a deep sense of sympathy for poor people since he was a child.
Because, he clearly saw that China is in an extreme chaos, with huge differences between the rich and the poor, and invading the great powers, the entire country may perish at any time.
All this gave Wu Zhonghao a strong sense of crisis. He believed that he must study hard, serve the country in the future and save the nation from danger.

So, in 1920, Wu Zhonghao joined the Socialist Youth League, and three years later, he officially became a member of the Communist Party.
At that time, Wu Zhonghao was a celebrity in the party because he joined very early and had a very high education, and he had his own opinions on many things.
1925, Wu Zhonghao finished his studies and came to Guangzhou to work as a military instructor. Here, he met another friend - Mao Zedong.
Mao Zedong was an instructor at the Peasant Armed Military Training Institute at that time. Wu Zhonghao quickly noticed that this instructor was different from others. He often spoke amazingly, but he was undoubtedly a genius. His vision was always ahead of others.
So soon Wu Zhonghao admired Mao Zedong and often pulled Mao Zedong to talk about revolutionary ideals. The two regarded each other as soulmates and quickly established a deep friendship.
Not long after, Wu Zhonghao was about to leave Guangzhou again, and the two of them bid farewell to each other.
Of course, the fate of the two people has not ended here. In a few years, they will join forces to do a major event that will change Chinese history.

1926, Wu Zhonghao followed the Northern Expedition Army into Hunan, and since then he stayed in his hometown to organize the revolutionary armed forces of workers and peasants, and launched several successful counterattacks.
Of course, this also attracted a wanted order from the local government. They regarded Wu Zhonghao as a beast and offered a huge reward.
However, Wu Zhonghao was smart and keen, and escaped from the government several times.
The local farmers support him very much. Wu Zhonghao not only organized revolutionary armed forces in his hometown, but also set up schools so that poor farmers can study, recognize words, stand up from their thoughts, and overthrow the rule of the landlord bureaucrats.
The local atmosphere has produced a major innovation due to the arrival of Wu Zhonghao.
However, the good times did not last long. In 1927, Chiang Kai-shek launched the 412 incident, ending the cooperation between the two parties.
At this time, heated discussion broke out within the party, and some people believed that the gun should be handed over to the Kuomintang in order to be tolerated.
And the other part of people, including Mao Zedong and Wu Zhonghao, think that the idea of actively giving up weapons is absurd. The enemy has shown the butcher knife, so we should also carry out the revolution to the end through armed counterattacks.
At that time, Wu Zhonghao's position was a platoon leader of Lu Deming's guard regiment. The reason why he defected to the guard regiment was because he had organized a peasant uprising in his hometown, which triggered a large-scale search by the government.
So, he could only hide his identity and go all the way, and finally took root in the guards.

After repeated controversies, our party finally decided on the plan for the Nanchang Uprising .
Lu Deming's initial idea was to take the guard regiment to support the Nanchang Uprising, but the variables were too great. Lu Deming led the guard regiment to the middle of the way and unexpectedly learned that the Nanchang Uprising had ended.
, and the enemy launched a crazy counterattack, and the current situation of the revolution is not optimistic.
In this way, Nanchang is definitely awesome. But now, their guard regiment has become a thorn in the enemy's side and a thorn in the flesh. Where else can they go next?
Just when Lu Deming and Wu Zhonghao were frowning, they met Mao Zedong.
Mao Zedong is planning the Autumn Harvest Uprising . After hearing Mao Zedong's plan, Wu Zhonghao and Lu Deming agreed. Therefore, Wu Zhonghao personally served as the vanguard officer, led the soldiers to conquer Baisha in Liuyang, and made the first contribution to the Autumn Harvest Uprising.
However, before there was time to celebrate, the enemy's reinforcements arrived again.

The successive failures made Wu Zhonghao fall into confusion again. Is the road of revolution impossible?

But Mao Zedong analyzed the current situation in China and believed that this path is actually not suitable for China's situation.
Although the Communist Party of China and the Soviet Union both follow Marxism, when implementing the plan in detail, it must be combined with actual national conditions.
China's wider revolutionary zone is not in the city, but in the countryside. Therefore, it was wrong for us to focus on cities before. We should mobilize the power of the vast number of farmers in the countryside to launch an insurrection, so that the enemy can be completely overthrown.
This remark was later known as "the countryside surrounds the city and seizes power with armed forces."
has made great contributions and this sentence sounds reasonable to people today, because history has proved Mao Zedong's correctness, but at that time, Mao Zedong's remarks were shocking.
Because no one has ever tried the route of surrounding cities in the countryside.
The revolutionary victory that people can see is nothing more than the victory of the Soviet Union, or even earlier, France and other countries.
The independence and strength of these countries all start from cities.
China's past revolution has been failing, which has led to people relying more on the success routes they have already had.
Now, Mao Zedong wants to break the rules and try a new path, which naturally aroused the dissatisfaction of many people, believing that Mao Zedong was making jokes about everyone's revolutionary ideals.
Mao Zedong was actually in an isolated situation at that time because there were too few people who understood him.
But Wu Zhonghao was Mao Zedong's confidant. When he heard Mao Zedong's argument about surrounding the cities in the countryside, he immediately decided to support Mao Zedong's ideas at all costs.
Soon, a debate broke out again. Mao Zedong proposed to take the team to Jinggangshan , but some comrades firmly disagree and were about to fight for the issue of leadership again.
At this time, Wu Zhonghao suddenly stood up, slapped the pistol he carried with him on the table, and said to everyone: "There is only one leader here, that is, Mao Zedong. If anyone is disobedient, I want him to look good!"
Everyone who was quarreling was shocked by Wu Zhonghao's momentum, and no one came out to compete again.
In this way, Mao Zedong finally took the soldiers to Jinggangshan with great difficulty, and Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army was born.
However, what we have to face next is still full of crises.
The enemy quickly came over with great momentum and wanted to encircle and suppress Red Army , and the Red Army's base areas were frequently attacked.
A few months later, a bad news came, and Ninggang was occupied.
For the Red Army at that time, Ninggang was an important strategic location. Once Ninggang fell, the enemy could completely drive in and attack Jinggangshan.
Now the Red Army is at a critical moment of life and death. Chairman Mao quickly transferred Wu Zhonghao back and asked him to lead a group of soldiers to retake Ninggang back.
This task is as difficult as heaven, because Ninggang is famous for being easy to defend and difficult to attack. The reason why the enemy was able to succeed this time was because most of the troops were transferred out to attack Suining, so the enemy took advantage of the situation.
But now the enemy is prepared and has been heavily guarded in Ninggang. How easy is it to take it back?
However, no matter how difficult it is, it has to be done. Wu Zhonghao led his troops to Ninggang City without any hesitation.
The enemy was shouting wildly on the city wall. Wu Zhonghao did not give the enemy a chance to react. He personally led the soldiers to charge and killed them in front of the enemy in three or five times.
The enemy was fooled by Wu Zhonghao. After Wu Zhonghao quickly captured a corner of the city wall, he asked the soldiers to light up dry firewood on the periphery to stop the enemy's reinforcements.
Because the Red Army was seriously insufficient firepower at that time, not long after, the bullets in Wu Zhonghao's pistol were exhausted. He was not afraid and lifted up his knife to continue fighting with the enemy, his whole body soaked in blood.
The cruel battle lasted for a whole day, and Wu Zhonghao finally relied on his tenacious willpower to retake Ninggang.
Wu Zhonghao not only regained a city, but also saved the future of the Red Army.

However, in 1929, the crisis came again.
The enemy sent a large number of troops to siege. Chairman Mao and others decided to keep some of the Red Army guarding Jinggangshan, while the other part broke through.
But, in which direction should we break through?
At that time, there were not many choices left for the Red Army. Everyone thought that they would either go to , Gandong , or , Ganxi .
In these directions, the enemy's defense is relatively weak, so the Red Army can get a chance to breathe.
However, Wu Zhonghao put forward an objection. He believed that since he wanted to break through, he should go towards Gannan .
As soon as this was said, everyone thought they had heard it wrong, because the direction of southern Ganzhou was guarded by the main force of the Kuomintang troops, and the Red Army was already in danger and had to break into southern Ganzhou. Isn’t this seeking death?
But Wu Zhonghao believes that things cannot be just looking at the surface. Although there are enemies with heavy troops in southern Ganzhou, the enemy's defensive awareness is very relaxed. As long as the Red Army breaks through the first line of defense, there is great potential.
Moreover, the Red Army is now taking the route of surrounding the cities in the countryside. The vastest rural area is in southern Jiangxi, where we have a large mass base to support.
plus the complex terrain in southern Jiangxi can give full play to the advantages of the Red Army's guerrilla warfare, and the enemy cannot exert any tact there.
If you break through to eastern and western Ganzhou areas, although you can get a temporary respite, when the enemy's heavy troops arrive again, the Red Army will be completely eliminated.
Although we will definitely encounter countless difficulties when we break through to the southern Jiangxi region, we can imagine that we will endure hunger.
However, as long as you endure this temporary pain, you will have unlimited opportunities in the future.
After hearing Wu Zhonghao's analysis, everyone was convinced and finally agreed to go to southern Jiangxi.
Mao Zedong later summarized without any emotion: "The Red Army has today's great situation in southern Jiangxi. Wu Zhonghao should be the first contribution. He strongly advocated coming to southern Jiangxi."
After the Red Army came to southern Jiangxi, it soon entered the most prosperous period. However, Wu Zhonghao, the biggest contributor, did not see it.

In 1930, Wu Zhonghao suffered from severe hepatitis , and he was unable to even participate in the frontline command.
At this time, due to controversy within the party, Mao Zedong was forced to lead his troops out to attack Changsha.
Mao Zedong had no choice but to come to the hospital first to say goodbye to Wu Zhonghao. Wu Zhonghao was very worried about the safety of Mao Zedong's trip and repeatedly reminded him.
But it can be imagined that this battle to attack Changsha was a wrong decision from the beginning.
Therefore, not long after Mao Zedong led his troops to Changsha, he was besieged by the enemy.
Learned the news, Wu Zhonghao ignored his illness and led 5,000 people to Changsha for rescue at night.
However, although Mao Zedong was rescued, he still failed to save the defeat.
After the battle ended, the organization issued an order to Wu Zhonghao, asking him to lead his troops to Fujian to rectify the army and prepare for the next battle.
But unexpected happened. When Wu Zhonghao marched to Anfu County , he suddenly encountered an enemy attack.
Wu Zhonghao was not carrying many troops around him at that time, so he was soon surrounded by the enemy on the hillside.
The enemy used artillery fire to hit him again. Soon, the entire guard regiment around Wu Zhonghao was wiped out. Wu Zhonghao himself dealt with the enemy for a long time, but in the end he was exhausted and was hit by the enemy's bullets and died at the age of 27.
The news came, and everyone in the army was sad, and Mao Zedong was even more heartbroken when he heard the news. More than 0 years later, Mao Zedong still felt sorry for Wu Zhonghao.
He is absolutely unable to get a genius. He has turned the tide several times before he was less than thirty years old. What’s even more rare is that he always maintains a clear judgment and supports Mao Zedong’s decision-making. His strategic vision is beyond ordinary people.
If he is still alive, he will definitely be able to make a greater cause. However, the revolution is always accompanied by bloodshed and sacrifice.
1955, the founding generals received their due honors. But there are still many people who have remained in the past history forever.
