In the modern history of war in my country, many warlord-like figures have appeared. They separatist the country, have their own power and sphere of influence, and leave their own traces in time.
Among these warlords, some people put their own interests first and have made many moves that have been awesome for thousands of years. However, some warlords are also concerned about their country and compatriots while realizing their ambitions, and are willing to fight or even sacrifice for the land under their feet.
There is no doubt that these warlords have their own positions, and their actions have their own considerations. Under the torrent of history, they have made their own judgments and choices again and again.
and these judgments and choices ultimately pushed them to a different ending. What we are going to talk about next is a warlord who killed a comrade of our party but was forgiven in the end. His name is Chen Quzhen , and he is called " Xiangxi King ".
1882 Chen Quzhen was born one day. His ancestral home is from Jiangxi. Later, his parents followed their family to live in in Fenghuang County. He was born in a good family and received the care and good education of his parents since childhood. He was sent to a private school at the age of 7.
As the process of growing up, Chen Quzhen was far ahead of children of the same age in any aspect. His intelligence and agility are enviable, and this has also become the reason why he is proud of others. At the age of 16, Chen Quzhen entered the Yuanshui School's Sutra Hall to study. Here, he established his life ambitions and began to work hard towards his goals.
At that time, of the Qing Dynasty had not yet been destroyed. After Chen Quzhen finished his studies in the scripture hall, he entered the martial arts school to study. The Wubei Academy was a school where the Qing government trained military officers. Therefore, after graduating from the Wubei Academy, Chen Quzhen became a team official in the new army.
But in addition to this, Chen Quzhen has another identity, that is, he is also one of the members of Tongmenghui . Because of participating in many activities of the Tongmenghui, Chen Quzhen's identity was gradually suspected and eventually had to leave the new army and join others.
In the years that followed, Chen Quzhen went to Japan, joined the Sichuan Army, and even gained a touching love in Tibet. The magic of time gradually polished him from a prosperous boy to a solid and reliable adult man, and he finally returned to Xiangxi after years of twists and turns, and was valued by the commander of the Xiangxi Front.
After this, Chen Quzhen took root in western Hunan and gradually became the person in western Hunan with his own efforts. He ruled in western Hunan for thirty years, and he had experienced many ups and downs during this period, and he also made many achievements.
He was not a warlord who only seeks his own personal gain. On the contrary, under his governance, the economy in western Hunan has developed well and people's lives are still stable.
But if Chen Quzhen did not do any mistakes in this life, it is actually not the case. Because for our party at a certain stage, Chen Quzhen's existence has created many obstacles to the development of our party.
Under his command, many comrades in our party were persecuted by him and even lost their own lives. For Chen Quzhen at that time, these lives were just a choice for him.
Before the founding of New China, Chen Quzhen, who saw that the situation in National Government was already in full swing, chose to surrender to our party. Because of the mistakes made before, many comrades and masses of our party had hoped to shoot Chen Quzhen in public, but when Chairman Mao learned about this, Chairman Mao made a completely different choice.
Chairman Mao believes that although Chen Quzhen has done many things, the various contributions he has focused on the revolution and made to the country over the years cannot be ignored, and his time to surrender is timely and sincere. Although his comrades are dissatisfied, they cannot do it to kill Chen Quzhen.
In this way, Chen Quzhen escaped and successfully ushered in the founding of New China. Chen Quzhen was very moved by Chairman Mao and our party's tolerance, and also sincerely believed that his original choice was not wrong.
After this, he lived in New China for another three years and finally died in 1952. Looking back at Chen Quzhen's life, we can see his long life trajectory across the late Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China and the New China.
In the long river of time, Chen Quzhen ushered in the end of his life, and the traces he left in this world have always been exploring and curious for people.
